She scanned everyone faces as they talked, laughed, and passed around weed. "Alright so obviously thank you all for coming out tonight for my album release party." some random guy said standing up.

"shut the fuck up josh." a girl came out in a skintight dress laughing. Making the guy Billie learned name was josh be quiet.

"Guys I didn't want to do something big but still josh decided to invite you guys so welcome, if you don't know me my name is Maggie." she replied smiling her acrylic nails wrapped around the microphone.

"I'm super excited for my new skincare line to be launched and I'm very excited for everyone to buy some, gift some, and wear some. more people will be arriving soon so for now grab some food, drink, and smoke!" Maggie cheered stepping off stage before the music started playing.

Billie was absorbed by this woman. Billie had never cared about her skincare and the simple Cerave was sufficient with her, but she would buy anything the raven-hair said just to hear her voice keep talking.

Billie stayed in the corner while Maggie was greeting guests. Billie had no clue what the girl was saying to the people but there were a lot of thank you for comings and goings. Although Billie didn't know the girl personally, she could read body language.

Maggie was shy and uncomfortable around people. Especially the men who had too many wines and were trying to act interested in her product, probably just to get in her pants.

Billie wasn't and expert but the way the girl carried herself she was definitely a lesbian or bi-sexual. She probably smoked weed; Billie didn't see another reason for the girl to offer the herbal delight if she didn't smoke it.

She probably listened to the neighborhood or Lana Del Rey maybe both. Maggie walked her way to the corner where the blonde was sitting. "Hey, I haven't seen you before." Maggie said about to sit down on the floor.

"Here take my seat." Billie said before Billie could move Maggie sat down on Billie's lap. "Yeah, josh sent me an invite." Billie said.

"Of course, he did, I'm starting to wonder who he didn't invite." Maggie chuckled. "I can leave." Billie replied. "No, I'm starting to like you." Maggie smiled. "I'm starting to like you too." Billie replied.

"So, what do you do around LA that you seemingly know my brother?" Maggie asked. "Acquaintances really we have friends of friends." Billie replied. The girls continued chatting the party away that Maggie forgot she even hosted the small get together.

"Your interesting Billie." Maggie smiled picking at her acrylics. "You're not bad yourself" Billie responded smiling. "Do you smoke?" Maggie asked. "It depends?" Billie smirks.

"Just wondering" Maggie responded. "Can I get everyone's attention?" Josh said standing up at the mic causing Maggie to direct her attention to him.

"Here's my number, don't be shy to call." Maggie said waving away from the blonde. Billie smiled watching the girl walk off.

"Thank you josh no need to say a speech people are already tired of you talking." Maggie said joking around.

1 week later

Billie laid in her bed watching YouTube until she received a message from Maggie. It had been a week since the launch party of Maggie Cosmetics which Billie learned to be the name of Maggie's business.
