"All you had to do was be there for my fucking graduation!" Maggie yelled at her father for the fifth time this week. "I overslept" He slurred drunkly walking around. 

"Maybe if you didn't fucking drink your life away you could be aware of some things that are important," Maggie replied walking around the house and collecting her things and putting them into a suitcase. 

"I understand why mom left now," Maggie replied. "Take that back now." He slurred raising his hand at her face as he froze. "Or what you're going to hit me, like you did Mom the same way you drove her to suicide?" Maggie yelled shoving more things into her suitcase. 

"You don't know what you're talking about." Her father yelled. "Sure, I don't," Maggie said rolling her eyes and zipping up her suitcase. 

"Where are you going?" Her dad asked as she strutted out the doorway to a Matte black Dodge charger. 

two weeks earlier 

"and then I'm going to go home I think..." Maggie wondered as her girlfriend kissed on her neck. "hmm you can stay a little longer, can't you?" Billie said straddling her girlfriend's lap as she continued to kiss on her neck finding her sweet spot. 

Maggie gasped as she started grinding her hips against her girlfriend her mouth open. "Maybe just a little longer," Maggie said as Billie stopped kissing her neck. 

"Nope, you have to go and write that speech Ms. Valedictorian," Billie replied. "You're such a tease," Maggie replied sighing and getting up. 

"You're right I'll see you tomorrow baby," Maggie said giving her girl a peck on the lips as they pulled away Billie bit her lip and Maggie grabbed her bag and walked downstairs out the door. 

It was around 9:27 PM as Maggie had arrived at her house silently sneaking in until a light was turned on. "And where have you been?" Her father asked the smell of beer wandering on his breath.

"Over Billie's" Maggie replied emotionless. "You know your mom wouldn't approve of you dating a girl." He sighed and rolled his eyes. "What can a woman offer that a man can't?" He asked. 

"I don't know how about a vagina?" Maggie said as her father stood there dumbfounded. "You disgust me." He replied. "Like the smell of beer doesn't do the same." Maggie replied brushing past her father going to her room. 

Maggie opened her Mac and started typing her speech for graduation. 

As I stand before you today, it is with a profound sense of gratitude and humility that I address you as the valedictorian of our graduating class. This moment marks the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and the unwavering support of those who have guided us along the way.......... Congratulations, Class of 2023! The world awaits our unique talents, and I have no doubt that each and every one of us will go on to achieve greatness.

 Maggie slowly nodded off as she finally finished writing her speech around 2:00 AM in the morning. 

It was the next day as Maggie sat in class with her head down snoring it was personally too early to hear the teacher talking about something she already knew.  

"Long night my love." Billie walked in with a coffee in her hand. "How'd you know?" Maggie replied to her hair a mess. "Just a guess." Billie smiled passing Maggie the coffee reaching for a brush in her bookbag and handing it to her girlfriend. 

"Is it that bad?" Maggie asked. "It's okay baby." Billie replied as tears welled up in Maggie's eyes what did I do to have such an amazing girlfriend?" Maggie asked as Billie blushed.
