Christmas came too quickly. Namjoon had never bothered to put a tree up at his place in Hannam. He had helped his mother before but never wanted one, till this year. Alex and Joon picked out a tree together, and Namjoon's mother came by to make sure it was perfect. Alex welcomed her visit and had even picked out a gift for her, yet still she fretted.
"Joon, I'm afraid she won't like me."
"Why wouldn't she baby? You make me happy. That's all she's ever wanted for me."
"Oh yeah?" Alex was yelling in a whisper. "What about grandkids?"
He bent and kissed her forehead. "My sister is pregnant. That will have to do."
Alex softened. "What if she doesn't like her gift?"
"She will love it. I promise. She wouldn't splurge on fruit in winter, and she loves it. Go pour a glass of wine for her and chill."
"Wine! Oh god Joonah, which one?"
He laughed loudly at her. He knew she just wanted to be liked by his mom, who was pretty laid back and understanding. He went back into the common room, Alex trailing behind him, one of his large hands locked between both of hers. "Eomma! What wine do you want?"
"Something red son." Joon opened a bottle of fragrant red and handed it to Alex. Once everyone was settled and chatting, Alex brought up Christmas dinner.
"Are we going to Cheybol again this year?"
"As far as I know babe. Why?"
"I wanted to invite Amy."
"She's the one with a thing JK right?" Alex nodded. "Well, that's how we ended up here," He smirked. "So hell yes invite her."

Amy resembled a whirling dervish as she raced around her small apartment, trying to find the perfect outfit. She had wondered more than once if she had enough time to go shopping and had decided each time that she most certainly did not. Alice! That was what she felt like. Alice falling down and down. No bottom, just falling through time. When her phone notified, she about jumped out of her skin.
Alex was on the way to pick Amy up.
(Amy) Are you alone?
(Alex) Yes, I dropped Joon off at the restaurant already. Why?
(Amy) I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO WEAR!!!
Alex laughed and rolled slowly away from the traffic light. The snow had been falling off and, on all day, but was coming down in earnest now. She left the text unanswered and went to rescue her friend.

"See Amy, this black top goes with these jeans. I'm telling you, the kid isn't going to notice what you are wearing."
"It's so low cut though."
"Yup! Now let's go." Alex was anxious to get back to Joon. Except for work, they had hardly been apart since she moved in. She was still very much convinced that she was going to wake to find it had all been a lovely dream. Maybe just a story someone was writing... She had woken in the dark more than once and reached for him, terrified that he wouldn't be there.
Alex and Amy finally arrived at Cheybol. Alex had a sense of DeJa'Vu, walking into that restaurant. She knew all the members would be sitting around the table in the back room laughing and carrying on like they hadn't been apart. Jin would get louder as Hoseok got quieter until everyone was wasted.
Alex told the attendant that they were there for the private party and whispered "Bangtan." The attendant was happy to take them to the reserved back room. Amy clutched her purse nervously and followed her boots seeming to make too much noise on the tiled floor. When they entered the red and gold party room, Alex made a beeline for her hunny who welcomed her as though they had been apart all day.
