Chapter 12:- First Sorry
" Sidharth nahi aaye ?"Shehnaaz asked her Brother-in-law ,Aarav.
(Sidharth didn't come?)
" Woh bhabhi ek important meeting thi, bhai nhi aa paye", Aarav said with hesitation. He was feeling bad for Shehnaaz.
(Actually bhabhi, he had an important meeting to attend so….)
"Ohh", Shehnaaz replied, giving him a fake smile.
" Dii", Ishani said, holding Shehnaaz's shoulder.
Ishani and Aarav both were feeling bad for Shehnaaz.
" Main thik hu", Shehnaaz said and went to the kitchen.
( I am fine)
" Ishani beta, Aarav ko dining room mein le jao, main Shehnaaz ko leke aati hu", Advika said to Ishani.
( Ishani child, bring Aarav to the dining room. I am coming with Shehnaaz in few minutes)
" Okay, Mom", Ishani said.
Advika went to the kitchen where Shehnaaz was standing with her back towards the door.
" Shehnaaz beta, I know tumhe bura laga ke Sidharth nahi aaye aaj but it's okay beta. Abhi tum dono ka rishta naya hai. Tum dono ko waqt lage ga ek dusre ko samajhne mein. Apne rishte ko kuch waqt do aur himmat rakho. Starting mein sab ko problem hoti hai adjust krne mein,mujhe aur tumhare papa to bhi hui thi but Dhere dhere sab thik ho jata hai '', Advika said to Shehnaaz.
( Shehnaaz child, I know you feel bad about Sidharth not being here with you but it's okay my child. This relationship is new for both of you. You both need time to understand your relationship. Give some time to your relationship. In start, everyone had to face some problems but with time, everything will be fine)
"Mom, Main itni jaldi haar nahi manunge. Main aapne puri koshish karunge ess rishtey ko samajhne ke", Shehnaaz said, holding her mother's hand.
(Mom, I will not accept defeat this soon. I will try to understand my relationship and try to make it work.)
" Agar kabhi bhi tumhe lage ki tum kisi se kuch share karna chahti ho ya tum confused ho kisse baat ko lekar toh tum mujhse baat kar sakti ho. Main sirf tumhari maa hi nhi tumhare dost bhi hu.", Advika said.
( If you need someone to talk to, I am here. I am not only your mother but your friend as well.)
" Thank you,Mom", Shehnaaz said, hugging
After dinner, Shehnaaz went to Shekhawat house with Ishita and Aarav.
After changing her clothes, Shehnaaz sat on the balcony and started reading a book. She was waiting for Sidharth to come home.
She doesn't know when she slept reading the book.
Around midnight, Sidharth entered the room after a long day. He was very tired due to back to back meetings. He saw Shehnaaz sleeping in the chair. He wants to go to Shehnaaz's house in the evening but suddenly a foreign client wants to have a meeting before going back. So, he had to stay in the office.
He went close to Shehnaaz and whispered sorry while caressing her cheek. His eyes move towards Shehnaaz's lips, making his throat dry.
He hurriedly went to the washroom before he lost his control.
Shehnaaz's sleep got disturbed hearing the sound of the door being closed.
She rubbed her eyes slightly before noticing Sidharth's blazer on the bed.
She went to the kitchen to bring dinner for Sidharth.
Sidharth entered the room after changing his clothes. He didn't find Shehnaaz in the room. He was about to go outside to look for Shehnaaz when Shehnaaz entered the room with dinner.
" Dinner", Shehnaaz said to Sidharth while keeping the food plate on a table.
" Tum ne khaya?", Sidharth asked her, sitting on the couch.
( You eat?)
"Main dinner vahi karke aayi thi", Shehnaaz said softly.
( I had my dinner before coming back)
Sidharth nodded his head and started eating the food.
After a few minutes, both of them were lying on the bed with their backs towards each other.
" Shehnaaz", Sidharth said her name, turning towards her.
" Hmm", Shehnaaz replied and turned towards him.
" I am sorry for tonight. Main aana chahta tha but ek important meeting aa gaye so I had to stay in the office.", Sidharth said to her.
(I am sorry for tonight. I wanted to come but I had to attend a very important meeting. I have no option except staying in the office)
" Mujhe es baat ka bura nahi laga ke aap nahi aaye but es baat ka laga ke aapne mujhe inform tak nhi keya. Aap ek call hi kar dete", Shehnaaz said in a sad voice.
( I am not sad because you didn't come but because you didn't inform me once. You could at least call me or message me about it.)
Seeing Shehnaaz's sad face, Sidharth felt pain in his heart.
" I am sorry. Mujhe aadat nahi hai na isliye. Main aage se dhyan rakhunga. I will inform you in future.", Sidharth said, holding her hand which was placed on the pillow.
( I am sorry. I am not in the habit of informing someone so…but I will keep it in mind from now on. I will inform you in future)
" Okay!! I forgive you", Shehnaaz said, giving a cute smile.
Sidharth felt happy seeing her smiling face. Both of them closed their eyes and fell asleep.
Next day,
Sidharth was the first one to wake up as usual. He opened his eyes and saw Shehnaaz's beautiful face in front of him.
He moved his eyes towards their joined hands. Both of them had slept the whole night with their hands holding each other.
He smiled seeing this. He went close to Shehnaaz's face and kept his lips on her forehead slightly.
" Married life is not that bad'', Sidharth mumbled, smiling. He removed his hand from Shehnaaz and moved towards the washroom.
After two month,
It has been two months since they got married.
Shehnaaz has rejoined her college after marriage while Sidharth is also busy with his work.
Sidharth's family had wanted to send both the couples for their honeymoon but Sidharth denied saying he can't afford leaves due to a new project which is very important for their business.
Shehnaaz also supported Sidharth in this decision. Sidharth's mother was very disappointed with Sidharth due to this but she had to compromise. So in the end, Ishani and Aarav were sent to their honeymoon.
In these two months, Sidharth and Shehnaaz's relationship is still the same. They are neither friends nor strangers. They are just comfortable with each other's company.
Sidharth never feels awkward with Shehnaaz whose reason is not even known to him. About Shehnaaz, she is happy that she has Sidharth with her. He is in front of her eyes everyday. It's enough for her. In the past, she had lost the hope to marry Sidharth, the love of her life, her heartbeat.
She never thought she would have the chance to marry Sidharth after his accident. But now at least they are together. She just hopes one day Sidharth will love her like he used to do in the past.
