Y/n woke up earlier than she would've liked. Slipping out of Namjoons arms and the bed covers she grabbed her phone and left the room. Not even computing that the two of them had fallen asleep holding on to one another.
Quickly punching in PD-Nims number she stood anxiously as she listened to the ringing on the other end.
"Y/n? Have you already made a choice? That was faster than I thought." He answered after a few rings.
Y/n shook her head.
"I was just wondering some things.. I haven't decided anything yet." He gave her a confirmation sound, waiting for her to elaborate.
"I'm just worried about how it would all work out.. y'know.. with how expensive fostering is already.. Do you think they'd really be able to live comfortably if I adopted them?" Y/n knew deep down she wanted to say yes.
But she was scared they would think she was too poor for anything long term, that they wouldn't realize the opportunities they could miss if they chose her instead of some rich ceo.
"Y/n. They aren't material people, they'd prefer to have someone they can trust.." He seemed to hesitate and then quickly whispered into the phone.
"I can promise you, if they choose to come back, or you choose it.. they will hate the next option..."
Y/n raised her brow. "Next option? Someone wants to adopt all of them?" Who? They hadn't mentioned anyone to Y/n. Did they even know?
"I'll talk to you later. Please make a decision before coming back here." He sounded robotic as he hung up, and Y/n was left in silence. Leaning onto the wall and sliding down to the floor.
Yoongi tapped Jungkooks arm. Stopping him from walking towards Y/n with a subtle shake of his head. The two looked at eachother conflicted, not sure how to take the conversation they just heard.
Playing it safe, Yoongi led Jungkook and himself away and back downstairs. Y/n would probably follow suit once she smelled Nan and Jins cooking.
It didn't take Y/n and the others long to make their way downstairs. Jimin and Taehyung were loudly chatting with Nan as she helped prepare plates for everyone with Jins help.
Hoseok and Namjoon were engulfed in their own conversation in the corner, while Y/n sat quietly to the side watching over everyone in the room.
They didn't stay much longer, Y/n and Nan exchanging phone numbers so that they could all keep in better touch.
Jungkook and Taehyung helped clean and put away any dishes, and soon the eight of them were back in the car on the way back home.

Once back home, Y/n excused herself to the confines of her room. Leaving the prefect opportunity for Yoongi and Jungkook to gather everyone and talk to them.
"Everything alright?" Jin questioned, taking a seat on the bed and leaning to back against the headrest. Taehyung casually sitting beside him.
Yoongi shrugged. The look thrown to Jungkook told the maknae to keep quiet about the phone call they overheard.
Yoongi overly cautious about setting the others off in a frenzy of anxiety.
"I just thought we should talk about the files and Y/n." He said nonchalantly, as if it was so easy.
"It's been a while since we really talked about it."
He was right. The others, most of the time made it a point to try and forget.
All but Namjoon who kept the papers secured in his room, glancing at them every night before bed as questions ran through his brain.
"I think we should show Y/n our files. It's been a lot longer than I think any of us expected it to be." Namjoon suggested, taking in account the risk vs the reward.
