"I promise you, I won't send you back unless you ask." He shook his head, but no one made anymore comments while they all dispersed.
I was given a full tour by PD-Nim and tasked with serving the bunny hybrids who were coming upstairs, an area reserved for their meals since the staff argued if they were to eat in their enclosures it wouldn't be hygienic and would be harder to keep clean. That was fair I thought.

I also learned that all groups ate at different times, the bunnies were third. Fifteen hybrids came upstairs in their human forms as I greeted them and passed their tray. There were nine females and six males I counted, making a mental note incase it happened to be important later on, you never know.

"Oh a new volunteer?" A female questioned, taking her tray. I nodded greeting her and introduced myself. Instead of a warm welcome, or smile which I expected her gaze turned slightly sad.
"What? We're not good enough to be adopted?"
A male voice interrupted.

He was taller, way taller and his glare shot through my body, making me freeze in anxiety. "That's not what this is-" I tried to explain myself after a minute of fear.
He only scoffed and shoved me back. A few hybrids I suspected to be his friends just laughed, while most seemed to ignore the ordeal. I caught some looking bored or annoyed, did he do this often?

I didn't say anything more, getting the next tray ready to hand out. Another girl behind the tall man glared at me. "What?! Too good to talk to us now?" I shook my head.

"Never. I'm sorry if I came across like that.." she rolled her eyes and walked off, taking her tray.

I sighed while I continued serving food. "Humans shouldn't bother, what? Needed a charity case? Feel better about yourself huh?" More voices chimes in the further down the line I got, making me more and more uncomfortable.

If this is what the bunnies were like... what would the others be like?
Keeping my head down I tried to hand the next person his tray but he smacked it up, causing it to dump all its contents on the front of my apron and shirt. Some bits  landing in my hair as well.

"C'mon bitch. Making a new tray shouldn't take so long." I sighed to myself and did as he said, only to have its contents dumped directly onto my head, spilling everywhere as I felt a lump grow in my throat. Tears threatening to pool in the corners of my eyes at the humiliation.

"Knock it off Kyon" I raised my eyes at another voice, only to see Jungkook next in line. The man, who I now knew as Kyon just laughed light heartedly. But Jungkook only hardened his gaze, from a laidback expression to an annoyed glare as he passed me a towel to wipe my face and head as best as I could.

"C'mon it's just a human Kook. Harmless fun, see?" He grabbed the towel from my hands, throwing it on the ground.
"Apologize Kyon." Jk grumbled out. Taking both of us off guard.
"What since when do you even talk to any other bunnies. Shit- when do you even talk!" Kyon pestered on.

I picked up the towel again in the middle of their argument, wiping myself as best I could before placing it to the side and quickly making a tray for Jungkook, hoping to diffuse the tension.

I held it out to him quickly, gaining his brief attention. He gently took it before dumping it over Kyon's head, as the later had done previously to me.
I had to bite back my chuckle and smile, being taking completely off guard by the actions.

Kyon became enraged, "What? Not so nice is it." Jungkook said smoothly as a smirk formed on his face.
"Careful Kyon, his pack mates are brutal.." another voice rung out amidst the chaos. Kyon nodded.

"C'mon Jungkook- ya know I can't hit you." He taunted. "but I can smack this bitch." He said raising his hand, my flight or fight apparently sucked ass while the only thing I thought to do was bring my hands up to protect my face.

Before I could protect most of my face, he smacked me, hitting my cheek so hard I stumbled back, flying towards the ground.
"WHAT IS GOING ON?" A loud shout rang out. I quickly stood despite pain, eyes wide when they met PD-Nim stomping upstairs, a few others following as they had all heard my loud crash downstairs.

I blinked back my tears and bowed a bit. Everyone completely fell silent. "Sorry sir. I accidentally slipped and landed wrong. Kyon and Jungkook were just checking to see if I needed help- some food accidentally spilled when i fell. Kyon stepped to block it and that's why we're both a mess. I sincerely apologize."
He didn't question things as he led me towards his office, although before we could get too far Jungkook reached out and grabbed my arm. Halting my steps.

We were now stood downstairs just in front of the cat area. "Y/n-" before he could start I shook my head 'no' and pulled away.
He stopped but I could see a flash of conflict in his eyes. I sent him a smile and a bow. "Thank you Jungkook." Before leaving to get cleaned up.

After a while I returned upstairs to start cleaning dishes, since I had been allowed to spend the rest of the day infront of a computer doing background checks in PD-Nim's office.

"Y/n, you're still here?" Jin questioned as I walked in, only to see the seven lounging around in the common area beside the kitchen and dining area. I nodded and started my work.

"Kook told us what actually happened today." Taehyung said coldly, the opposite from the tiger I had seen behind the glass when I'd first shown up.
I nodded, letting him know I heard him but didn't reply.
