Jungkook took a deep breath, still standing to the side he figured now would be as good a time as any to explain his past.
"I arrived at BigHit when I was fourteen after being raised at O.H.A.. another 'adoption' place.." he began, catching the others off guard.
Jungkook had never been one to explain anything of his past willingly. He had originally told Jimin and Taehyung out of necessity, since he didn't trust the humans treating him.The others all found out through his nightmares and flashbacks he grew up working through. No one really knew any details since he'd never tell them.
Y/n lifted her head slightly away from Taehyung and focused on what Jungkook was telling her.
"They did experiments on hybrids, abused us, sold us off..a lot of shit basically.. I wasn't supposed to be in the shipment of supplies sent to BigHit but I snuck in and that's how I got out.."
They had made a deal to send needed supplies to adoption centres or agencies that were running low for a set price. Jungkook would be forever grateful for the dumbass who signed off on that plan."Anyway. They sold us illegally and BigHit found out once I got better and actually had the energy to talk. Felt like I was at deaths door if I'm honest.. I was pretty sick when I arrived but Jimin and Tae practically nursed me back to health.. I don't really know what would've happened without them."
Y/n could feel the hold Tae had on her tighten as he became stiff and his ears stuck up. Obviously hearing about how much Jungkook had been though was still hard on them.
It made so much sense now why they had panicked so much when he had fainted when they first met.
"After I was better I told BigHit everything. Not that they or the police did anything- and Taehyung and Jimin told me about their pack, and how none of them wanted to be adopted by humans.. so I immediately joined."
The pack had saved his life, and he could never imagine a world where he didn't meet his six hyungs.
"That's why I was scared of you.. the only humans I've been around aside from the volunteers at BigHit and PD-Nim had.. put me though hell."
Y/n nodded, if she had been in his place she probably would've acted out or been a lot more terrified. She thought he was stronger than he was given himself credit for, for overcoming all of that while still being so young.
"Jungkook... do you want to know more about O.H.A? Or for your file to be opened again..?" Y/n questioned.
Jungkook paused, looking at her directly. It was a question he'd never been asked, or even thought about after the case against them was closed.
He knew they still operated, just under a different name, but he had no idea what the operation was like. They had been formally charged, but that had only really resulted in a large fine and slap on the wrist. He nodded slowly. He didn't want what happened to him to still be happening to even younger hybrids.
He was lucky to get out, he watched so many who never made it.Y/n nodded, a small determined look on her face as she picked up her phone, punching in a number none of them recognized while she put it on speaker and motioned for everyone to be silent.
She pulled herself out of Taehyungs arms to better hold the phone for everyone to hear."Hello? Y/n! It's great to hear from you!" A happy man answered the phone. He had a slight accent but none of the boys knew where it was from. He sounded familiar to them though, no one could place where they'd heard this man.
"Hey Chan! It's good to talk to you.. anyway.."
They heard a chuckle come from the other end."What do you need? You never call just to catch up." There was a teasing tone that Y/n rolled her eyes at.
In truth she felt happy talking to him, and didn't remember why they didn't talk more often.
