[ A/N: Meant to get these next chapters out before Christmas but the universe said— no♥ ]
The suitcase barely squeezed into the tiny, 5x3 closet with your boy's luggage already cramped, taking one last good grunted shove with your full weight before it yours would fit. With the bag fully in place, you fell back onto your ass upon the floor, panting and wiping away any sweat from the unnecessary exertion, silently cursing your family. Throughout the day, you were bombarded with not-so-subtle comments about having a hybrid sleeping in the same room as “cultured people,” so in a moment of stubborn retaliation, instead of forcing Jin to move rooms by himself, you opted to join him.
Mentally, emotionally, and physically exhausted, you picked your bathing suit up off the floor where you’d tossed it, gone to the bathroom to change in a huff, then sought out the hottub to soothe your aching bones and frayed nerves. A nice thought, t he only problem; you hadn’t counted on the others having the same idea.
Fantasies for your peaceful night of introspection and decompression vanished into thin air as you slipped out onto the chilly patio, only to find some of your boys and two women—one of whom you recognized as your cousin, Addilyn—already soaked stomach deep in bubbling steam with lively banter circling the small expanse. Quickly bursted any wishful dreams of a relaxing night alone.
You contemplated going back to the room and watching a drama on your tablet but Hobi spotted you too fast, his heart-shaped smile as he waved you over plummeting your final glimmer of hope. Having been caught, you slid the door shut and stepped up closer to the bubble filled tub; the flashing rainbow lights casting changing shadows over the people inside.
Up close, the image your hybrids painted was pure sin. Damp hair and slickened skin on bared torsos with muscular arms resting on the edges to hold their beverages made you hesitant to join. The sight was dangerous. A singular oasis in a desert of uncertainty. Exotic fruits and menacing eyes luring you to what felt like a trap. Tack on your damn-near wasted cousin and her friend simpering over Jimin, a disinterested Taehyung, and a shy Jungkook; you couldn’t help being timid as you weakly smiled and slowly inched toward the tub.
“Hey guys..” You greeted quietly, hesitantly laying your towel over a dimly lit wicker chair next to someone’s discarded palm tree towel that already occupied the space. You hoped they didn’t notice you keeping your t-shirt over your swimsuit. It was one thing to be half-naked with Addilyn who had the air of cocksure confidence with the ivy league diploma to back it up, but it was a whole ‘nother story to be half naked with your male hybrids, regardless of your comfort with them.
“Oh thank god! It was a whole sausage fest in here,” Addilyn slurred with a giggle while Taehyung smoothed over in his seat, a thick layer of bubbles following in his wake as he made room for you between him and Jungkook.
Addilyn’s glass tipped precariously as she leaned back against Jimin’s chest where she was seated in that grinning devil’s lap, and you didn’t doubt for a second that she would have preferred it stay a ‘sausage fest’ but you didn’t comment on that. Instead, you gingerly lowered yourself into the perfectly steaming pool; the urge to grab yourself a drink nearly overwhelming as you watched Jimin chuckle at Addilyn’s sloppiness while murmuring things into her ear.
The brunette gestured to her blonde friend who was practically fucking Jungkook with her doe-brown eyes, a faint blush highlighting her infuriatingly perfectly defined nose and cheekbones. Surgery, you thought, as Addilyn introduced her as Courtney.
