"Good morning class, I'm miss swan, your new history teacher, I'm not here for any nonsense, you may have noticed I'm not all that much older than you all but don't for one moment assume that gives you an advantage because you'll be mistaken. Every one of you will apply yourselves in my class and we'll get on smoothly. Education is a gift, not a curse. Are we in understanding?"

The class nodded along, some eyes trained on me others were on their friends, I began teaching the curriculum, today I was teaching the students about Ancient Greece, the Olympics, battles etc. I wanted to teach these kids well, I wanted them to find their strengths but also succumb to their weaknesses, for you can never truly grow until you've found what is keeping you chained.

*time skip*

By the end of my first day, I was exhausted. My mind was running at a million miles an hour, I brought my index fingers up to rub my temples, my attempts to relive the throbbing oncoming headache were futile, I was fully prepared to pop a few Advil that was until a knock on my classroom door had the sound of my voicing calling 'come in' reverberating through the room.
A rather large bear-looking student stood at my door, a pretty, small blonde next to him. Almost instantly I recognised both of them being in my morning lesson.

"Ahhh emmet and... Rosalie right?"

I prayed I didn't just make a fool of myself but I had over 100 students' names to remember, not to mention it was my first day and I was practically fresh out of high school myself.

"That's right, though I much prefer rose, it's more... delicate."

I nodded in agreement with rose, looking at them expectedly, emmet glanced at her.
"What is it you need?"
I asked. The two of them seemed uncomfortable in my presence but I brushed it off.

"You said your name, is Swan... I know this is a little odd, but you wouldn't happen to be related to Isabella?"
Roses question hung in the air, I wasn't expecting anyone to notice just yet but that was naive of me, I was in a high school after all. Gossip doesn't stay gossip for long.

"I am actually, she's my baby sister."
Rose and emmet smiled wildly at each other, I was honestly struggling to keep my eyes open at that point, the thrill of being back home taking up most of my weekend. As promised me and dad spend the entire day on Saturday fishing, we had gone out with Harry Clearwater on his boat and caught some amazing pike and trout, but we didn't get back until early Sunday morning. Then Sunday afternoon we watched the last game of the season, Washington commanders did reasonably well though me and pa both agreed their defence was shot, weak and crumbling. We stayed up past midnight drinking beers and watching crap reality tv, our favourite pastime aside from football, fishing, hunting and all the other things that make me far less of a lady than my dear sister... well that was harsh but I stand by it.

"Awesome! you'll be seeing a lot more of us then, well our brother, Edward."
Emmet chuckled, while rose continued to smile at me. I noticed how mature the two looked, they didn't exactly carry themselves like high schoolers, they knew who they were and they were completely contented... or they were just ignorant.

"Oh yeah and why's that, is he marrying my sister or something."
I joked, sorting the papers on my desk into a neat pile, their faces fell and I realised why. I let out a deep sigh, my face resting in my hands. The oncoming headache rearing its ugly head... I needed some Advil... or a large glass of scotch.
