FRED'S POV

Classes were going by fast. I really like Professor Lupin, not just because he is Y/N's dad but because he seems very fun and reasonable. He also seems like he knows what he is doing. Not like Lockhart last year who was a fraud and just thought he could flash his smile and get by with everything.

Last year I didn't feel ready for the final exam in defense against dark arts, thank Godric Dumbledore canceled the exams. Hermione and Y/N weren't too happy that exams were canceled.

Y/N was disappointed they were canceled because she studied really hard and was positive on each that she would get outstanding.  I mean, she probably is the smartest witch in our year, sometimes I wonder why she wasn't sorted into Ravenclaw. I guess she just had more qualities of a Gryffindor.

After lunch, I had muggle studies and potions. Potions with Y/N.

However, Snape separated everyone today and we had to do a report on a potion of our choice. At least he gave us our choice. I chose to do the Polyjuice potion. Ron told me a story of his experience with it. So at least I am a little bit familiar with the potion.

I kept looking over at Y/N during class. She had her nose in the textbook and wouldn't stop. I kept smiling, she was so smart. I wish that I had her smarts, she gets good grades without even trying. Last year in Potions, she didn't even study for one of the tests that Snape gave us and she got the highest mark in our class. Like how do you even do that?

Snape also doesn't completely hate Y/N like how he hates George and I. I mean no Gryffindor is ever his favorite student and according to Y/N, Snape and her dad went to school together and her dad and his friends weren't exactly the nicest to Snape, but I can tell that he likes that she works hard, she does what she is told and she doesn't waste his time.

George, Lee, and I are without question some of his least favorite students. I mean, he gets so mad whenever we goof around in class, we pull pranks and make jokes all the time. Sometimes Y/N will laugh at it and he will tell her to quiet down but he will never give her a detention. Seems like one wrong move in his class will earn me two days' worth of detention.

Y/N, she hasn't been able to escape my mind. I couldn't focus the best in any classes today, I kept thinking of her. It was before dinner, George and I were on a walk around the castle trying to find any Slytherins we can make jokes about or pull a quick last-minute prank.

"So Freddie, do you want to tell me something?" George asked while wiggling his eyebrows. I narrowed my eyes at him, what does he mean? Is he talking about Y/N? "What do you mean brother?" I asked. What on earth is George talking about?

George rolled his eyes, "Come on Freddie, we are twins, I know you like the back of my hand. I also get that twin telepathy. I know that you fancy Y/N." He said. "Woah! What gave you that impression?" I asked, trying to make my voice sound surprised but failed terribly.

"The moment that you saw her on the train, I knew you were completely done for Freddie. It's not rocket science. I heard you up last night. She keeps you up?" He asked, smirking. "George, Y/N, and I are just friends. Always have been and always will be. We will never be anything more." I stated. "Fred, everyone in the friend group knows you two are endgame. In the end, you two will end up together, one way or another." George said.

"George I hope you know you sound like a matchmaker!" I laughed. "Maybe I am one, maybe I am not. I'm just saying Freddie, I see the way that you look at her. You should try and make a move on her. Trust me you will not regret it!" George exclaimed. "Can we talk about something else?" I asked.  George rolled his eyes. "As Lee said, step one is denial."
