~Sometime at dawn~
Amy carefully and quietly made her way to the King's chambers. Her mind was seemingly all over the place, having learned so much in the past 24 hours. At the moment, she had only one thing on her mind, 'That bastard is going to tell me every last detail of the truth. Had I known all of this would happen, I would've never requested to move up the attack. Honestly, I didn't expect it to happen anyway. It's rather odd that it did.'
She was completely lost in thought and hadn't realized she had made it to the king's door. 'This is it. No turning back...' She lifted her hand, gearing to knock. But before she could, she backed away, "Oh I can't do this...What would I even say to start? Do I keep up this princess act or do I just...come out with it? I could get us all killed...if I'm not careful." She sighed in frustration, "Well I'm not gonna learn anything standing behind this door. At the very least, I can start by knocking." She takes a deep breath and slowly raises her hand again.
Before she knocked on the door, her ear twitched. She quickly turned around, blade in hand, coming face to face with Mobius' old head knight.
She quickly put her blade away and bowed, "Sir Fenriz...? ...To what do I owe the pleasure?" Fenriz smirked, "My, my. In all my years, I've never seen someone of royalty status bow to their lesser known. You are...quite the princess indeed."
Amy blushed, quickly regaining her composure, "Well, my k-kingdom is run quite differently than Mobius. I understand the confusion." He chuckles, "Yes, well, may I enquire what business you have with King Jules?" "I wish to speak with him regarding our upcoming battle against Merek. It's rather important." "...Is it now?"
Fenriz walks up to the King's door and then opens it. Amy looked inside to see the room was empty. She frowned, "He...He's not here. W-Where is he?!" "Away. I'm not meant to know where, myself, of course, but I noticed he's been gone for at least three days." Amy scoffs, "I find that hard to believe." "I beg your pardon?" "Aren't you meant to be his head knight? Shouldn't you know of his whereabouts on the off chance he's in danger?"
He frowns at her, "I never expected to hear such provocations from you, Amelia. As it is, I am his head knight. I am, however, not his maid. At times, he wishes not to confide in me. I merely adhere to his command." She scans him over, "Forgive me, Fenriz, but given the circumstances, it should be imperative that you know where he is."
Amy smirks, "But you knew this already, of course. He may not have told you of his whereabouts, but that doesn't mean you don't know where he is, does it?" Fenriz chuckles, "Observation is a trait you truly excel in, I'm sure. Yes, you are correct. I know where the king is. And I'm sure you wish for me to tell you?"
She nods, "Yes, as I've said, I must speak with him." Fenriz frowns and begins closing the King's door, "Before I relay his location, might I offer a suggestion?" "Sure...or, um...Certainly, Fenriz." "You stated it was a private affair you wished to discuss with the king, however, given his location, I feel it would be appropriate to be accompanied by your fellow knights." She frowned, "Why is that?"
Fenriz smirked, "Because he's traveling through the forbidden forest." Amy scoffed, "The forbidden forest...What reason would the King have for traveling through the forbidden forest alone?" "Naturally, I assumed it was because I told him it was the fastest way to get to the western district." She was taken aback, "Th- Western district?!"
