Blazing over a Silver lining

~A few days later with Sonic~

Sonic returned to the Mobius kingdom after spending time with Princess Sally in the Quercus kingdom. He's about to head to his chambers but, he is stopped by his father standing in front of his door. He looked slightly pale and sweaty.

The king had taken notice of Sonic and turned around, "Ah, there you are son. I was unaware you were not here." Sonic frowns, "I wasn't here for a while. You are just noticing?" Jules sighs and wipes his forehead, "I hadn't noticed a lot over some time. Your mother has decided to cut our family dinners for a while." "Why is that?" "I imagine it is due to my 'behavior' as of late." "Imagine that."

Jules clears his throat, "I...came because I wanted to talk to you about something. Rumor around the castle is you've decided to take your place as king and marry the princess of the Quercus kingdom." Sonic groans 'Dammit Silver!' "Listen Sonic, I came to say-"

Sonic groans, interrupting him, "I know, father. I get it, okay? 'I'm doing a great service to our kingdom and our family. My future is indeed gonna be brighter.' I heard it enough." Jules was taken aback a little, "I...Right. You're right, that is...that is all I wished to discuss with you." Sonic rolled his eyes, "Great. Now can I please enter my room? I have things I need to do today." Jules nods, "Of course. I wish you and Princess Sally well and...I hope you share the details of your wedding."

Sonic sighs and walks into his room, "Of course, father. Oh, by the way, are there any messengers left? I need to send something to Princess Sally." "I'm afraid not. But, I'll have Fenriz deliver it for you. He's heading that way soon." "Great. Thank you, father." He closes his door. Jules begins to walk away but, felt a pain in his stomach. He fell to his knees, beginning to regurgitate a pool of black liquid and blood.

At that moment, Cream was walking by with a bag of materials she had planned to bring to Tails. She took notice of the king and gasped, "K-King Jules?!" He shushes her as he struggles to speak, "Please...take me to my room." "B-But you're sick. Y-Y-You need s-serious help." "All the help I need is in my room. Please, take me there." "Please Cream..." Cream's eyes widened as a flashback of her mother hit her.

She felt herself about to have a panic attack. 'I can't blow this. I...I have to do this for A-A-Amy...for A-Amy...for A...my...' Cream did some slow breathing and then moved to the king. She wrapped his arm around her shoulder and helped him to his room. 'I do not think I can do this for much longer...'

~Meanwhile with the Renegades~ (A couple of days later)

Scourge sits in front of the girls, rubbing his head in frustration, "Okay, okay, let me get this straight...You manage to get close to the crown but, before you can actually steal it, it was instead stolen by Merek ...gone forever. Your bunny ally exposes this fact, so you ladies are forced into a battle with the lord of the dragons. Amy gets herself injured defending the prince, so, he requests for you to stay in the castle, just until everything is sorted out, which is only a matter of time before they realize there is no Princess Amelia of the Rosaceae kingdom because it is indeed a lie. And even with all the suspicion clouding around you, the prince still decides to wager a deal with Amy to give you his crown anyway, if he can not convince Amy to like him?"
