~Scourge's hut~ (The following day)

The renegade girls all sat around Scourge's table in silence. They were there for almost ten minutes. No one knew what to say, making the atmosphere tense.

"So, is anyone going to say anything?" Shade said, breaking the silence. The other girls shuffled in their seats, still choosing to remain silent. Shade groaned, "Amy, please, I am very uncomfortable. May I suggest shedding some leadership?"

Amy's lip quivered, "I...I feel we need to leave this place immediately. No more waiting, we're done with this place. Any objections?" The girls look at each other, then quickly shake their heads.

Amy sighs, then nods, "Good. So we're all in agreeance we must find a way to move up the Merek attack and get the crown back." "What?!" The girls shout in unison.

Rouge's eyes widen, "What are you saying, Amy? We can't rush an attack on Merek." "Why not? I thought you'd be more thrilled to get that crown back faster." "I...I am thrilled to get the crown...but attacking the lord of the dragons so soon is suicidal. You said so yourself." "Staying here is no better. The longer we're here, the worse it gets. We're already getting threats, people are getting more suspicious, and...and..."

Shade frowns, "Amy, is something the matter? You're acting strange. You'd never suggest something like this unless something went...wrong." Amy blushes, "What does it matter, okay?! We don't belong here! We're renegades, thieves, not royalty, lap dogs, or princesses. Okay? Just trust me, it'll be better for everyone."

She turned to Scourge, who was silently sharpening his arrows, "Blacksmith, are you able to convince the Prince to move the attack up?" Scourge scoffs, "Depends on how soon we're talking..." "This Friday." They all flinch. Blaze frowns, "Three days?! Amy, you must be joking." Amy looked away, "I would never jest about this, Blaze. We are treading in a dangerous land on borrowed time. We have no other option at this point. We need to finish this job, and we need to leave."

Cream shakes a little and looks down, "B-But, w-what if...we don't...need to steal the crown?" They all turn to her in shock but, were unable to say anything. Amy frowns at her, "What are you saying, Cream? That's our job."

Rouge sighs, "I...I agree with Cream." Scourge chuckles, "Now that, that is truly shocking." "I think we should...abandon this job. Let the crown go." Amy stomps away from the table, "We can't let it go! We have a job to do, and we're going to finish it." Blaze shakes her head, "The risk is far too high. There is no positive outcome for whether we get the crown or die trying." "See, this is what I'm talking about! We've allowed this place to corrupt our minds and doubt who we are. We never leave a job unfinished, and we are not going to start with this."

Rouge scoffs, "Ugh, what happened to the renegade leader who would put her girls before a job? Ya know, the leader who would have a clear enough head to know when enough is enough. Amy would never send us to die for a stupid job! Unless this is Amelia we're talking to, which only means, you've been corrupted just as much as we have!"

Amy growls, "Don't...call me...Amelia!" Rouge smirks, "Oh my, Shade. I believe you may be on to something. Something did go wrong, and our precious leader is trying to save her ass by throwing us under the wagon. Not like I didn't see this coming, though. I'm just very disappointed in you." "Why do you doubt me so much? You've never trusted me, and despite me giving plenty of reason to do so, you still distrust me?"
