~With Rouge~

Rouge was on the roof of the castle, secretly observing the knights. She was attempting to get information about the assassin, and so far, she came up with nothing.

Rouge scoffs, "I don't understand why I need to waste my time with this. I hunt treasure, not people." They were all gathered in for a brief discussion, making Rouge bored, "None of them stand out at all...There probably isn't even an assassin anyway. Just another one of Amy's delusions."

She gave another look over until something shiny caught her eye. Rouge's eyes shone brightly, "Pretty, pretty." It was a gold ring belonging to Silver.

"Scourge mentioned the man wore a ring. His hand and part of his arm were pitch black as if they were burnt..."

Rouge smirked, '...And a ring, I have indeed found but, I need to get those clothes off, and find that burnt arm. Then, I'll kill him.'

She breaks out of thought when she hears the sound of footsteps. "Did you find anything up here?" She kept her smirk and turned around, meeting the crimson eyes of Shadow, "Not at all. However, I'm curious as to how you knew I was up here."

Shadow walked to her, smirking as well, "It's hard not to see you moving around up here. I thought you'd be sneakier than that." "Yeah, well, it's also hard to sneak up on someone with heavy footsteps. I thought you'd be more mysterious than that." He shrugs, "I wasn't trying to sneak up on you."

He sits beside her, "So, what did you find? Does anyone look suspicious to you?" "Hmm...not at all. At least, not yet." Rouge wraps her arms around his neck, "You know, if I don't find anything, I'm just gonna believe it's you. So you may as well tell me the truth. No one else is capable of being a silent killer..." "I'm sure that were I an assassin, you would be the first to figure it out."

She leans close to his face, "You know I have ways of getting the truth out of you."

Shadow starts leaning close to her face, then moves her off him and turns to walk away, smirking, "And I look forward to it, however, right now, we need to set out for the Broncos kingdom." Rouge grew nervous, "The B-Broncos kingdom?! The land of horse breeding? What the hell do we need from those barbarians?!" "We need their horses, of course. With kingdoms joining together, we can't expect to all travel by foot to Merek's territory. And we're gonna need as many knights as we can get. So, I suggest you get your knights ready."

"Hold on, why don't I stay with Princess Amelia? With an assassin around, I have to protect her no matter what." Shadow turns around, "Under normal circumstances, I would agree, however, Princess Amelia is not here in the castle. We asked where she was headed to ensure her safety but, she urged it was a private affair and that her knights know that she will be safe. She was quite adamant that we do not follow her."

Rouge growled to herself, '...She's off to see that damn blacksmith.' Shadow waves as he leaves again, "I'll see you by the castle gates."

Rouge grips her arms and shivers, "Ugh, dammit..."
