The Hidden Truth

~Amy's room~

Amy stormed into her room, immediately going to change her clothes. She dressed in her tight black robes, then began packing her bags with potions and essentials. Once she finished packing, she began writing a letter to the girls explaining her whereabouts, then went to place it on her bed.

Before she placed it, she heard a knock at the door. She slightly drew her arrow as she walked near her bow, "Enter..." The door slowly opens, making Amy stand on the defense. 

The door opens fully, revealing the soon-to-be king. Amy flinched, stumbling backward, "Prince S-Sonic...w-what are you...doing here?!" Sonic smirked, "What is this reaction of yours? Why are you so tense?" She blushed, "No reason! Why are you here?!" 

Sonic looked down at her bag, "I was investigating a matter regarding some information going missing in the records room. I was passing by and wished to check on you. I haven't spoken to you since...well, you know. Are you going somewhere? What are these clothes?" "I-I'm just going out somewhere...I need to clear my head, that's all. So, if you would please-" She went to push him out, but he rushed behind her, snatching the note from her hand, "Hey! That's mine!"

He scans the note, but she tries to snatch it back before he finishes. Suddenly, he wrapped one arm around her body, holding her close, making it difficult for her to escape. He finished reading the note, then scoffed, "You're going to the hidden forest?!" 

Amy's blush deepens with being close to Sonic, so she shoves him away, "By the Gods, Sonic, why do you always show up at the wrong moments?! Look, please leave me alone. I don't have much time, and this is important to me." She snatched the note back, then placed it on her bed. 

Sonic frowned, "Then, let me go with you." Amy grabs her bow, "Absolutely not." "Amelia, I'm serious." "I am too. This time I am truly serious. You can not come with me." "Amelia, the hidden forest is a dangerous place. I've heard nothing but terrible things about that place. I can not allow you to go alone." "So what, you're worried about me? I told you, I'm not a damsel in distress." "Amelia..."

Amy quickly grabs her bag, "Apologies, Prince Sonic, but you can't come with me." Sonic shakes his head, "Then I'll just follow you, and you know I'm fast enough." Amy chuckles, "Yes, I'm well aware of your skills however, I'm skilled enough to get away from you. As you're about to see right now." 

She begins to rush to the exit, but Sonic quickly latches onto her arm. She whips around to face him, frowning, "Unhand me, Prince Sonic..." He pulls her closer, "I will not let you go alone, Princess Amelia." She stares back into his eyes, wildly blushing, "...D-Don't you have some royal business to attend to...You've just stated some things went missing from your records room, you should look into it. And what about Princess Sally..."

Sonic blissfully sighed, "Why don't you want me to go with you? Don't forget we have an agreement." "I didn't forget, but that doesn't mean you have to follow me everywhere I go." He leans closer to her face, "This is the perfect place to test what I've learned. After all, it is a dangerous place. Unless something else is on your mind?" She glances at his lips, then groans, "Why can't you just leave me alone? Why do you insist on being around me all the time?" He looks into her eye, getting closer, "I...I don't know. I just...I just love being with you."
