Once Tsireya had showed us our new home she left us to unpack.
The tent was spacious I'll give her that, but it wasn't comfortable. It was situated right above water like the rest and there was no door to close or open meaning no privacy. Not to mention the floor we were going to sleep on hard. It would take some time to adjust.
Neytiri had visibly the same reaction as me. As soon as we had stepped in the tent she let out an exasperated sigh, letting her bag fall to the floor.
Damn
It was close to night when we had finished.
Jake calls us all to the tent. He makes us sit in a circle, earning a groan from Kiri.
"I need you kids on your best behaviour. I mean it. Learn fast, pull your weight and don't cause trouble" he made eye contact with Lo'ak at the last part. Neteyam noticed it too as he grabbed his brother by the neck to tease him, earning a hiss from the latter.
"I want to go home" Tuk was now crying.
I feel bad for her, she's only 8 but is going through so much already.
"Aww Tuk" Neytiri is the first to console her.
"Tuk, this is our home now" Jakes says taking her hand in his "We'll get through this if we have each others backs"
"What does your father always say?"
"Sullys stick together" we mutter.
Kiri doesn't share that opinion with us.

The next day Aonung, Tsireya and Rotxo decided to show us the sea.
They dived in first followed by Neteyam and Lo'ak. Me, Kiri and Tuk were last.
As I dived in I took a deep breath.
At first I was scared to open my eyes but I didn't want the others to make fun of my fear. As soon as I opened them my vision got slightly blurry. I rubbed my eyes before reopening them.
The sea was magical.
Everywhere I looked there were different sea creatures. At the bottom of the sea, instead of finding sand there was coral reef everywhere. The whole thing mesmerizing. A group of fish swam by to my left. They were all blue with a yellow tail. To my right an octopus was swimming in circles.
As I turned my body to look up at the sun a beautiful sting ray swam in front of me. I looked up and stretched my arm out to touch. It's skin hard yet smooth.
It was so different from what I expected.
I use the rocks to push myself depper into the sea. The farther i go the more things I discover.
I swim closer to a specific rock with weird tentacles coming out of it. They sway with the direction the current. When I touch them they immediately wrap around my hand sending a tingling sensation. It sends shivers down my whole body.
I keep swimming deeper and deeper without realising I've lost the group but at that moment I don't seem to care. These rocks are way cooler than Lo'ak complaining.
I pick up a pretty shell as I swim along the bottom of the sea. It's a beautiful light beige colour with sparkles here and there. I can't believe I wasn't been able to see this beauty earlier in my life.
As I keep swimming I feel something touch my shoulder. Thinking it's another sea creature I turn around. To my big disappointment it's Neteyam.
He motions to me with his hands to get back up to the surface. As I look up I see everyone else is already there. We emerge from the water with Neteyam gasping for air.
"Bro how long were you in the water for? We couldn't find you anywhere"
"I was just being curious loser. Not my fault I can hold my breath for longer than you"
"I'm sure you cheated anyway"
"You're just a sore loser" I use his own words against him.
Next, Aonung decides we need to learn how to ride ilu. They're kinda like our ikrans but under water.
Neteyam immediately takes this as his chance to prove himself to me. I won't let him win though.
I go ask Tsireya for help but Lo'ak beats me to it. I hesitate not knowing if Aonung would willingly help me. I don't get the chance to ask before I see an ilu approach. It circles me before slowly getting closer. I hold out my hand carefully to not scare it. It gently puts it's head under it letting me know it's okay. I slowly pet the animal smiling.
"You can mount it, it's not as agressive as your ikran"
I turn around to see Aonung standing behind me with a small smirk.
I do as he says sitting down on the animal.
"Now make the tsaheylu."
I take my braid and connect it with the animal. It shivers slightly under me.
Aonung takes my hand and wraps its around the animals collar.
"Hold on tight and don't let go, if you want it to swim just think it. It's like with your ikrans." he turns to look at his friends "Try not to fall off ketuwong (alien)"
I roll my eyes ready to rpove him ready. I take a deep breath and think of swimming slowly. Aonung is right, it's just like ikrans. The animal dives in gently before swimming away.
I see Tsireya wave me over, Kiri and Tuk behind her. I copy her and put on leg over my ilus fin making the ride more comfrortable. I look back smirking at Aonung.
After a quick ride we go back to the boys to see them still struggling. I laugh as I see Neteyam fall off his ilu. He splashes me in return.
I don't let that slide.
I start splashing him faster and faster before diving down to attack him. I quickly pull his legs making him dive into the sea. He grabs my shoulders and pushes me down even more. I try to get away from him but he's faster. He grabs me by my waist and puts me over his shoulder as he swims up. I try and push him away but his old on my waist is strong. I never realised how muscular his arms are. He gets out the water but instead of letting me go he throws me back into the sea before swimming away.
It takes me a few seconds to get back up and swim to the surface. When I get out the water I hear Lo'ak snicker next to me. I give him the finger before going after Tsireya.
"I can help you get revenge if you want later" she whispers.
"Yes please" I wink back.
We both giggle as we get onto the shore.
