Why did I push her into the water? I don't know. I wanted to. I hated that she pulled me in with her. That I was able to hold onto her arm as long as I did. I stared into her eyes, they glistened under the water, ew I need to stop. I was driving Nate home and he was making jokes about it the whole way with Chris.

"Can't believe that you let her pull you into the pool," Nate laughed.

"I didn't see it coming, I couldn't have fought it even if I tried because I didn't know what the fuck was happening, it's not that funny." I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah okay, whatever you say." Chris laughed.

"So did you kiss her or something, why were y'all under water for so long." Nate laughed hard with Chris.

"FUCK no, absolutely not, why the fuck would I kiss her?" I fake gagged.

"Because you care about her," Nick smirked.

"No. I don't." I snapped.

I didn't care about her, I hated her, we didn't like each other at all for very many reasons. I can't think of any reasons right now, but that's not the point. I hated her. I hated that she was so active in my life. 

"Thanks for driving me home, I'll drive to your place tomorrow and we'll leave or something, I don't know, up to you, but yeah, I'll talk to you later." Nate left the van and we drove home. 

"Why'd you push her in?" Nick asked.

"Because I felt like it." I stared at the road.

"It wasn't very nice,"

"Good. I hope she thought so too." I scoffed.

We arrived back at the house and I slammed my room door. 

"Hey Matt, can you help me with something?" I heard my mom outside my door.

"Yeah sure mom!" I called out as I met her down at her car.

I helped her bring in some cases of water and I sat down at the island just making conversation with her.

"I heard you pushed Ava into Alahna's pool today," She let out a chuckle.

"She pulled me in right after, so, I'm not the only person in the wrong." I crossed my arms.

"Well you know, that's how I knew I fell in love with your dad, he did the same thing to me." She laughed.

"How many times do I have to say, I hate Avalon. We. Hate. Each. Other. Mom, why don't you understand that." I slightly shouted.

"First of all, don't shout at me, second, I understand that, I was just making a comment. Calm down." She sighed.

"I'm sorry mom." I felt bad for raising my voice at her.

"I forgive you, I understand you got frustrated." She gave me a smile.

"I think I'm going to call it for the night mom, goodnight, I love you." I smiled at her.

"Goodnight sweetheart, I love you too," She returned my smile.

I walked into my room and saw both Nick and Chris sitting there. 

"Hello?" I questioned them.

"Hey." They said in unison. 

"You know, you have your own rooms." I rolled my eyes at them.

"Calm the mattitude down, we wanted to hang out with you." Chris laughed.

"Sorry, just have a lot on my mind right now." I flopped down on my bed.

"Like Ava?" Chris asked.

"Fuck no." I frustratedly replied. 

"Yall want to go film a car video? We haven't done that in a while." Nick smiled.

"Yea lets go!" I was actually excited to film one.

Filming YouTube videos was sort of an escape because it was just me and my brothers being able to fuck around in a car for a small, but supportive group, of people to see. We all got in the car and drove to an empty parking lot and started filming. We were just talking and having conversations with each other.

"Alright smash or pass but like food logos," Nick laughed.

"I'm sorry what?" I laughed in response.

"Like Wendy of Wendy's, how about her?" Nick asked.

"Smash, no further questions." Chris replied.

The whole car broke out into laughter. We filmed for another hour and noticed that the camera died about thirty minutes ago. We decided to drive back home because it was 2:30 in the morning and we all had to be up by 9:00 because that's when Nate was arriving. I went into my room and changed into a sweatshirt and laid in bed, thinking about everything that happened today. I rolled my eyes at the thought of when Avalon pulled me into the pool, and tried to think of something happier so I didn't go to bed angry.

I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter ! I really hope you're enjoying the book so far, I know not much has happened yet its just a lot of plot building but I promise soon something will happen! Can't become lovers without becoming friends first right? Maybe soon Matt and Ava will notice they can be friends for once.
