I was eager to get a call from Ava today, she was in her interview right now for her new job, and she was so excited. I was sitting with my phone on my desk, she would be out of the interview any minute now. My phone started ringing and I immediately picked up.
"How did it go?" I asked her.
"Well," She sounded sad, oh shit.
"Oh no," I felt so bad.
"I GOT THE JOB!" She squealed through the phone.
"OH MY GOD YAY!" I was so excited for her.
"And I told her about the LA trip, I'm going to get normal paid time off for the two months AND I can start the job as soon as tomorrow!" She squealed.
"Oh my god that's amazing! I'm so happy for you!" I was so proud of her.
"I'm on my way over to tell everyone," She spoke.
"Alright I'll see you soon baby, I love you." I responded.
"I love you more, bye!" She hung up the phone and I went downstairs to unlock the door.
When she arrived she came through the door and just stood there.
"Oh hi Ava!" My mom grinned at her."
"I GOT THE JOB!" She squealed.
"Oh my god! Honey that's amazing I'm so proud of you!" She gave her a huge hug.
"YAY AVA GOT THE JOB!" Nick yelled.
Everyone cheered for her and I gave her a huge hug. She was so happy, I was so happy to see her this excited. She has been through so much shit in her life and this is like a step up into her dream job and I'm so proud of her. My mom insisted on us going out for a celebratory dinner and we all piled into the van, we went to this near by Mexican restaurant and we all got a big table. We all talked about different things, having an amazing time.
"Cheers to her new job!" My dad spoke.
We all cheers'd to Ava and our food came out so we shoveled it into our mouths. When we were finished Ava asked my mom if she could get dropped off at her apartment.
"I'm gonna go whale," Ava laughed.
"What?" My dad laughed.
"I'm gonna go sit on my couch and make whale noises while watching tv, indicating ive eaten too much food, my stomach is stuffed." She laughed.
"I'm gonna whale too when we get home," He laughed.
"Jim..." My mom let out a laugh.
My dad let out the loudest whale sound and everyone erupted into laughter. We had dropped Ava at the front of her apartment complex and then we all said our goodbyes.
"Bye baby, I love you." I gave her a kiss through the window.
"Bye I love you," She grinned.
Nick and Chris fake gagged and I just rolled my eyes as my mom drove home. When we got home I started packing for LA because we were leaving a few days after graduation, I was excited, I was excited that Ava was going. She is my whole entire world, how could I leave my world behind again for even longer this time. I'm going to marry her one day, mark my words.
