I was nervous for graduation, I wasn't going to college, we were focusing on YouTube because we're been taking off recently. I want to make this last week before graduation fun. Ava had texted everyone and we went to a park and acted like kids again, which was really nice. I was laying in bed with Ava. I had her in life, she's all I needed, all I wanted was her. She is the only person who made me astronomically happy. I loved her more than anything, I was going to marry her one day, I swear.
"Good morning," She smiled up at me.
"Good morning beautiful." I smoothed down her hair.
"You wanna go get breakfast? At that cute little old timey looking diner?" She asked.
"Of course, I'd bend time and space to spend time with you," I smiled at her and she blushed.
She got up and went into Nick's room quickly because she has always had clothes in there and then came back, getting dressed. We went out to the van and I drove to the diner, and we went in to sit down. An older lady came up and took our order, and was making conversation with us.
"How long have you two been together?" She grinned.
"About three months," We both replied at the same time.
"Oh young love, how sweet." She gleamed.
She had walked away and then Ava and I just talked. We talked about everything, she was telling me about her neighbor who will blast music at 3:00 AM and how she has wanted to kick his door down. I find it really funny when she says stuff like that because she's like a little fire cracker, she could never hurt a soul. Our food came out fairly quickly and we ate while talking. I liked that we talked constantly, we ran out of stuff to talk about, especially when we talk about her interests because I love it when her face lights up and she gets so excited while talking. We ended up finishing and driving back to my house, and as we walked in her phone starts ringing.
"Oh, it's work, hold on." She stayed outside when I walked in.
I was met with Nick and Chris sitting in the living room just watching TV and we made small talk, until Ava came in crying.
"Ava honey what's wrong?" My mom stood up and asked.
"I just got fired," She cried.
"Oh fuck, baby I'm so sorry." I gave her a huge hug.
"I don't know what I'm going to do, what if I can't find a job in time to pay rent?"
"Become an influencer," Nick replied.
"Yeah, like that's gonna work." She stifled a laugh.
"We'll look for jobs for you, I think there's a hair salon looking for a receptionist, it's about the same pay you have now, I'll call them right now, don't worry honey, we can help you." Mom gave her a sympathetic smile.
"Why does bad shit always happen to me," She cried in my arms.
"Because you're too good for this world and the universe thinks it needs to take it out on you," I replied.
"That was very wise Matthew, maybe you do have a brain." Nick laughed.
"HAHA SCARECROW," Chris let out a cackle.
Ava let out a laugh and I kissed the top of her head. "Everything is going to be okay, I promise."
"What if it isn't?"
"Then we'll make it okay," I looked into her eyes.
"Thank you," Her eyes stared to water again.
"I love you," I smiled.
"I love you more," She kissed me softly.
"Ew not in the living room please," Chris groaned.
"Shut up mr afraid of commitment," She replied.
"HAH," Nick's jaw dropped.
