I woke up to my alarm blaring at 7:30 in the morning and I realized what day it was. Graduation day. I got up quickly and hopped into the shower. I was trying to wake myself up more than anything but I needed to take an everything shower, so I knew it was going to take a bit. I wash and conditioned my hair, then put a hair mask in while I shaved my legs and armpits, and down in the lady area. I then washed the hair mask out after 10 minutes and then when I got out I use my body butter and I sprayed my hair with leave in conditioner and heat protectant, then blow dried my hair. I then started doing my skin care and makeup when I realized Nick was FaceTiming me. 

"HEY AVA!" He yelled.

"HI NICK!" I gave him the same energy.

"ARE YOU TALKING TO AVA LET ME SAY HI!" Chris yelled.

"HI CHRIS!" I yelled back.

"How's getting ready coming along?" Nick asked.

"How did you know I was getting ready?" I laughed.

"Your standing in your bathroom with a towel on..." He laughed.

"OH right- I totally forgot I'm not going to lie," I laughed with him.

"Hey beautiful, we'll be there in about two hours." Matt came into frame.

"Okay," I gave him a huge grin.

"Yall make me wanna shit on myself," Nick scoffed.

I let out the loudest laugh and then Nick and I talked for a little longer then he hung up. I finished doing my makeup and then went to change into my dress really quick, and then went right back into the bathroom to do my hair. After I was gone with my hair I went into my kitchen to make a quick breakfast and then Matt texted me they were on their way. I went to get my shoes and put them on quickly, and got the text the boys had arrived. I went down to the lobby out the front door, to the van.

"Mom and dad are gonna be there later, since the ceremony doesn't start till 10:30," Matt smiled.

"I figured." I let out a small laugh.

I texted my grandparents the time just to remind them, so they didn't forget, and we arrived at the school extremely quick. 

"I can't believe this is gonna be the last time we're walking through these doors," Matt sighed.

"I know, it's fucking crazy." Chris replied.

I told myself I wasn't going to get emotional today but I could already tell I was going to be a mess, this is the first day of the rest of my life, and that's some what fucking terrifying to me. We walked into the auditorium to get our robes and caps and we all threw them on.

"I HAVE to get a photo of the two of you I'll kill someone in the future if I don't," Nick laughed.

Matt and I looked at each other and stuck our tongues out while Nick took the photo. We all laughed and then we took a group selfie.

"I'm showing that photo at your guys' wedding," Nate walked over to us.

"Sup Lorax bear," I laughed.

"Now we have get a photo with Nate let's go," Chris laughed.

We took another selfie than Alahna walked over to us. We took another selfie and then we were told to all line up to head out. The nice thing about our school is they didn't do our names alphabetically we got to pick our spot in line a few weeks ago, so all of us were in the same spot, one after the other. We walked out to the football field and we just waited in line as people were called one by one. Nick was about to be called, then Matt was going to be, then Chris, then Nate, then Alahna, then me, and then the people behind me.

"Nicolas Sturniolo!" Our principle yelled, and the whole friend group cheered along with I think Mary Lou, Jimmy, Justin, my grandparents, my brother, Nate's family, and Alahna's family in the audience. 

"Matthew Sturniolo!" Loud cheering from everyone again.

"Christopher Sturniolo!" More loud cheering.

"Nathan Doe!" Cheers through the field. 

"Alahna Estrella!" Even more cheering.

Next was me, I started to get emotional, I stood there waiting and our principle called my name.

"Avalon Smith!" Loud cheers grew in the audience.

I went up on stage and shook my principles hand, as he handed me my diploma and I moved the tassel on my hat to the other side. I walked off the stage and broke down crying, causing a huge group hug with the friend group. The ceremony ended and we met up with our families, I ran up to my grandparents and gave them a huge hug.

"Look at you all grown up," My grandpa gave me a small twirl.

"I need to get a photo of the six of you guys!" My grandma took out her phone.

"Grandma you're taking a photo of yourself," My brother laughed and flipped her camera around on her phone.

"Oh damn, whoops." She laughed and took a few photos of us, three normal ones and a silly one.

"We have snacks and stuff set up at the house for the 6 of you," Mary Lou grinned.

"Back to the Sturniolo loft then," I cheered and everyone else did too.

I didn't cry as much as I thought I would...wow, here's to the start of the rest of my life.
