Renjun's POV
I dish out the food in a big bowl and bring it out in the living room to Y/N who's waiting for me with a smile.
Glad to see her happy.
"I'll go get the other..." She's about to stand up when I stop her.
"Sit. I'll get it."
She shakes her head and then nods right after.
I don't blame her because even I don't understand my behavior today. One minute I'm shouting at her and the next, I'm acting all nice.
I didn't mean to scare her earlier, I was just worried.
I come back with two mini bowls in my hands and two chopsticks in each bowl.
Y/N takes one bowl from me and dishes out her food.
"Mmm, tasty!" She exclaims after tasting it.
She looks at me. "Try it."
I nod and put a spoon in my mouth.
Hmm, tastes the same.
"Where did you learn how to cook?" She asks.
"Nowhere." I mumble only loud enough for me to hear.
Y/N looks at me with a confused look. "Huh?"
"Uh, I'm self taught." I answer a bit louder.
We finish our meals and Y/N argues to take the dishes so I let her. Only because she insisted that her hand is fine.
And then, the lights go off.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh." Y/N screams from the kitchen and I hear the sound of a plate breaking.
I rush to the kitchen. "What happened?"
"T-the l-lights... It's d-dark." She stutters.
"Wow, I thought someone came in. You startled me." I walk to where she is.
She starts to walk further. "I'm sorry, but how could the power..."
Y/N trails off when I grab her hand and pull her towards me.
It's dark and I can't see her face but I'm sure she's looking at me. I can feel it.
So I clear my throat. "You just broke a plate and I'm sure the shards are everywhere."
"Oh yeah, you're right." She says.
I let go of her hand. "And about the power... I'm sure it's because of the snow storm. The snow must've reached the cables."
Y/N agrees with me and I walk out of the kitchen with her because she's afraid.
I tell her that I'll stay downstairs and sleep on the couch and she agrees and brings me a pillow and a blanket.
She's about to leave but instead turns to look at me.
"What?" I ask her without looking.
"N-nothing. Good night." She says and runs off upstairs.
I laugh to myself silently after because her actions are cute. I've noticed it once the first day.
She's always nervous and socially awkward.
But sometimes she totally loses those qualities and becomes confident.
Like the time she told Jisung and Chenle off at the party.
