Narrator's POV:
*2 nights ago*
"Hacked! He's hacked!" The black haired boy excitedly shouts to his partner who's on the other end of the call.
"Perfect. Now we can't let anything slide. We should get them while we can." His partner says.
The call ends with a mutual agreement of the two.
The boy sits back on his chair after another day of hard work. He's been trying to find them for quite a while now.
So succeeding meant victory in all ways.
He laid back farther on his chair which started moving slowly side to side, as he remembered his past.
The whole reason why they were there in the first place and where it all began.
*Flashback 3 years ago*
He ran home with his mid-senior year high school results, excited to show his parents.
Minjae lived a bit far away from his school. Although, no one picked him up that day and he had missed the bus, he didn't think it was much of a big deal.
They could've been busy, he had thought.
Minjae was too excited to even worry, he thought he'd walk home instead.
He ended up speeding down the last few houses until he reached his own.
Minjae felt a bit confused when he walked over to his house, seeing how there were two police cars outside.
He then concluded that it might have not been a big idea. Minjae skipped through the first few stairs leading to his front door. He halted when he heard shouting coming from inside but still gave in and opened a creak through the door just to be sure.
"It's okay. We'll confess." He saw his mom kneel while breaking down.
Minjae almost rushed in to console her but stopped when he saw his dad yank her up.
"There's nothing to confess here! Stop ruining this for me, Lily!" His father shook her as he said.
"Stop! Just stop it, stop!" His mom exploded. "I've had enough and my kids might have to pay for your crimes!"
"Mrs Choi, you can come with us, we'll take your statement." A police officer offered to his mom by motioning his hand towards the door.
Lily Choi wiped a tear off her cheek but nodded anyways.
Minjae couldn't understand what was happening.
Crimes? Confession? Police? What did his family have to do with all of that?
Minjae flinched so hard when he heard a gunshot, he almost fell too, making the door's creak open wider.
"If you don't walk out right now, I'll shoot her!" Minjae's eyes widened when he saw his mother being forcefully held by his father, with a gun against her forehead.
Nobody seemed to notice Minjae yet, especially with the scene unfolding in front of their eyes.
Severel policeman held their guns out and pointed them towards his parents.
"Let her go! Or else-"
"Or else what! She's my wife, it's our family matter! So get out!" His father started saying angrily.
