Y/N's POV:

I've been standing here at the window of my room for about 30 minutes. Pondering over whether it would be worth it or not to take the risk.

This place is armed with guards and traps but I do have experience in escaping... Right?

Or maybe Renjun's place was a sweet home with no weapons or henchmen. I guess that's why it was easier to escape from there.

The guard who I had been eyeing for the past half hour, finally leaves his post. I take it as my chance to immediately decide whether I'm jumping or not.

Before I can even think straight, my body unwillingly flies out of the window, without my brain's permission, and into the cold yet soft snow.

Huh, so it wasn't so far after all. I get up to dust myself since I landed on my knees.

No alarms rang and neither are there any people around me so I make a run for it, through the back.

I run and run for a while until my eyes can see the back gate.

I stop to pant while holding my knees, this is when I decide I can walk from here.

I start to smile until I hear two people's voices behind me, and that's when I freeze.

I'm dead. I think.

It's seems like they haven't seen me yet because nothing is said towards me and neither do I hear anything apart from their own mutual conversation.

They're gonna catch me. My hands start to shake infront of me as I can hear their footsteps now.

Until somebody holds my hand and yanks me away from the back exit and into a corner.

"Shhhhhh." The person whispers but I still don't know who it is because they are wearing full black, with gloves and a face mask.

The only thing that I can see, is their eyes.

Regardless of my situation right now, I nod my head indicating that I'm fully obeying this stranger.

The two people who had been talking, pass before our eyes and out of the back gate, completely missing our presence there.

That's when my savior unmasks their face.

*Next Day*

Renjun's POV:

The guys were all ready to leave from the place we stayed at— a very quiet, snowy and camouflaged apartment from a hotel.

The function would begin in an hour and we'd be just in time or maybe even a little early because the ride to there from here wasn't more than ten minutes.

Early is just what I was looking for, not too early to be suspicious. Just enough to maybe see something useful. Something that could lead us on.

"Hyung look here!" Jisung pokes his head out of his shared room with Jaemin.

He ushers me over and I immediately leave my unfinished packing, because if he is calling me like that then it's really important.

Inside the room Jaemin is on his computer and Jisung is kneeling right beside him to get a better look at whatever Jaemin is watching.

I walk in slowly, uncertain of what they were watching.

"He managed to hack the building's CCTV!" Jisung exclaims excitedly.
