Y/N's POV:

My house hasn't scared me ever since the couch incident, maybe because I avoid that couch as much as possible, but other than that, I've been Bonita.

Although, it does surprise me every time I discover something new about myself, I try to embrace it like the me now would've. If that makes sense.

I haven't met a lot of people either which would make me feel even more foreign about my new life, that I have zero knowledge of. Except for Eric's girlfriend Anna, which just happens to be a girl in my year that I don't remember ever conversing with.

Though, according to Eric and Anna, we're pretty close, which I believed only because she knew so much about me.

I also haven't been getting any crazy flashbacks or creepy Deja vus, which is both a bummer (because I could've been progressing in remembering my life) and very pleasant (because it is absolutely disturbing).

For the first time, which is a week after I was released from the hospital, I'm spending the day alone. Without Eric and Anna. I convinced them that they've helped a lot and I probably can make it on my own now.

Only that I can't, and I had been lying. Reason being, in order for me to find out about my past, I need some privacy.

I hadn't even used my supposed phone ever since my memory loss because I was too scared of what I might find in there. Though, fortunately that can change today.

After staring at my phone for a good ten minutes, I decide that it'll be better if I just leave the revelations for later. I'm not fully ready for that kind of closure with my new self. Or should I say, my now self whom I don't know anything about.

Instead, I choose to relax and take a day off from all the drama by binge watching shows or movies on Netflix.

Scrolling through the app, I realize that I may have watched some shows already but unfortunately, I don't remember anything about them. So, Netflix with me is cancelled.

I run to YouTube instead for some content updates on my favorite artists or influencers. That's when something pops up on the front page. My favorite K-pop group, NCT, has just posted new content.

I'm about to click it when I suddenly remember the events that happened in the hospital. Meeting Renjun, the entire NCT Dream group and then getting mentally shocked and passing out.

I immediately face-palm after reminiscing that moment because who faints in front of their idols. Thank God I wasn't awake to experience the first and secondhand embarrassment, all at the same time.

I decide to click on the content anyways, despite the fact that I might feel weird after our encounter.

Surprisingly, I don't feel weird. Maybe because it's the entire group of twenty members together...

Wait... Twenty?! Why do they look less, some people are missing!!!

Since when was NCT, as a whole, only twenty members?!

Mindlessly, I grab my phone from the coffee table, like I hadn't been ignoring it all along, only to go to Google immediately.

Search: NCT 2023

Results: NCT 2023, currently consists of 20 members with 4 fixed units—which are NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV and NCT DOJAEJUNG—and 1 rotational unit called NCT U which changes members frequently depending on the comeback...

What is NCT Dojaejung?! What did I miss?! Is that where Shotaro and Sungchan are supposed to be?

I look back down on my phone.

More results showing... Former members: Lucas, Shotaro, Sungchan, Shohei, Eunseok, Seunghan.

I almost choke on air after reading this. What happened to Lucas and Sungtaro? Why are they not in the group anymore? And who are these other people mentioned here...

Hating myself even more for losing my memory now that I can't remember the events of my idols, I decide to switch off both my phone and TV.

My house seems empty and lonely now that Eric and Anna aren't here. I get up to go outside and take a walk instead, to feel the neighborhood and possibly regain some memory from it.

After taking a five minute walk, my house is completely out of sight. Though it's not a issue, because I can still remember the way. At least that much of my memory was spared.

I walk past a few buildings and roads. Past gardens, local stores and eateries. I'm so engrossed in my walk that I don't realize how far I've gone, until I stop by a familiar looking café.

My feet unknowingly take me straight to the entrance and I'm about to enter until I see a sign that says, 'Sorry, were closed!' Now any normal person would retreat because of the sign but I don't feel right about it.

Despite the sign saying that they're closed, I place my hand on the door knob, trying for it to open many times but in vain. I don't realize how crazy I might seem to pedestrians until a lady stops by and places a hand on my shoulder lightly.

"Is everything okay dear?" She asks warmly.

"I-... This café shouldn't be closed." I point to it with a frown.

"It's pretty normal dear, seeing how it's a weekend." She politely tells me.

"No but Cookies N' Coffee doesn't do that." I surprise myself.

What did I just say? Cookies N' Coffee? How do I know the name? I didn't even see a name plate or banner.

"Maybe they're renovating, I'm sure it's not a big deal." The lady finally says before giving me one more polite smile and leaving.

I brush off her words in ignorance and still manage to stubbornly try for the knob a dozen more times. I even forget that this might be considered an offense to the premises, and I'll probably be jailed for it.

Though someone suddenly saves me by holding my hand and pulls me away from the entrance and onto the next road. I don't see who it is because I'm still staring in the direction of the café.
