"You heard me." Anthony said. Why was he sticking up for her, this was her problem that she could fix herself, but would she? "Stay out of this, you don't know what you're messing with." Astoria said, as she stepped forward to Anthony, "I think I need to know what's going on here, because no one on the council will tell me anything." he said. Wait, the council? The council was definitely a place that had a lot of power, but why would Anthony know about it?

Anthony leaned over to Chiyo, before saying "when I give a signal, you run." but Chiyo didn't want to wait for a signal, she wanted to get away from this problem, a life that she doesn't want to participate in. While lost in her thoughts Anthony yelled a loud "RUN!" and she took off running, deeper into the forest forgetting about the shrine that was left behind her.

She ran until her lungs ached for air, she made it to a small clearing, and sat at the base of a tree to catch her breath. She stared up at the now darkening sky and sighed, her thoughts were anywhere but where she was, what would happen to her mom, the fight broke out too close to her home for comfort, but her mom wasn't home when Anthony showed up on her front step.

Chiyo closed her eyes, and after a while the sound of footsteps woke her up. Her eyes snapped open, but when she looked up she saw the familiar face of Anthony. "Why did you want to save me?" She asked, "Let's just say, that finding out that my family could be in danger because you opened a portal, scared me." he said "what do you mean 'opened a portal' and how did you know?" She asked, "I know because I started to see creatures that were bloodthirsty, that when I was a kid, they gave me nightmares."

"You're from that world?" she asked, "yes, i ran away, found some human parents to raise me, and lived here." he replied. Chiyo looked at him, he didn't look like any magical creature she had seen in the past couple of days. "What are you then?" she asked slightly curious, "i'm not telling you that, that's private." he said red running to his cheeks, "well then i guess i'm going to find out myself, by taking you to that portal." she said, taking Anthonys hand and running to the direction of the shrine.

"Wait dont you think it's cutting it close with your friend on the loose around here?" he asked, trying to wriggle his hand out of her grip. "Oh-" Chiyo stopped and looked at him, "but if she's looking for me, wouldn't it be safer to escape to the other world?" she asked "no she knows the terrain more than you do, and you could get lost in there." Anthony said

There was something else in his voice though, it almost seemed like he was hiding something from Chiyo, and although he technically did 'save' her, she still didn't quite trust him. "Ok I won't go, but what are you exactly?" she asked, "You won't laugh will you?" Chiyo shook her head, "I'm a faerie."

He said it so casually too, Chiyo was trying to not laugh in front of him, but she didn't think she was doing too well keeping her stoic facade up. "Who knew that the strongest guy in the school was actually a faerie?" she said her face going red from keeping her laughs at bay. "I can see your struggling, you can laugh, I don't care." he said
