Chapter 5

Reign's POV

"What time should I be there?" The words left my mouth before my brain realized what I've said. "Uhm...is 10am good with you?" He hesitantly asked. I could tell his shocked that I said yes. "That works for me. I should get back to my room". I started to rub my eyes cause that flight tired me out. When I looked at him he was half smiling. "I can only imagine how tired you must be after working that flight today". I gave a lazy smile and nodded. "Well goodnight Reign, it was nice officially meeting you", he winked as he started to walk down the hall. I turned around to tell him it was nice meeting him as well, but then I saw the unthinkable. His room was next to mine.

Out of shock I just gave one last akward wave as he dissapeared into his room and shortly after I went into mine. After eating my dinner on my bed while watching big bang theory, my phone started ringing and it was none other then Blake. "Hey baby, just checking in on you. The client finally left". It was probably around 9pm on his side while being 3am on my side seeing that Paris is 6 hours ahead of New York, and I don't recall a client ever staying at our apartment so late. " Did the client make you a big sale for the month that he stayed there so late?" I curiously asked. "Yeah, she did". Wait,what? "She?". The line went quiet for a few seconds. "Yeah babe, it's no big deal trust me". My gut started telling me all kinds of overthinking scenarios that could be happening, but Blake and I have been together for 6 years...he won't hurt me like that, I'm sure. "Okay I trust you" , I muttered. "Good. I'm gonna get some shut eye. Goodnight babe", he tiredly said. "Me too, goodnight" , I said as cheerfully as I could muster.

I arrived at the café ten minutes early and waited for Akieno at one of the tables. I had a view of the outside and as I watched strangers walking past the café on this beautiful sunny day, I made a mental note to explore Paris today after helping Akieno. I've only been here once and that was with Blake but we didn't explore. We just had to be here for his aunt's funeral and headed back home the next day. Even though he had family from Paris, he was a pure American by heart.

"Hello? Earth to Reign?" A hand waved infront of me. It was Akieno. "Are you good? You were daydreaming", he asked amusingly. "Yeah I...was just thinking it's a beautiful day today" I uttered embarrassed that he caught me daydreaming. He looked outside and nodded. "Yeah, you're right about that. So, are you ready to get down to business?"

"Nope, that hat definitely doesn't suit her character ", I argued with him. "If you look at it from my angle it does, just look". 50 minutes has passed and we have finished 4 characters but we can't seem to finish this grandma character. "You do know we are fighting over a grandma right?" He said amusingly. I tried to snicker my laugh when I realized his right. "You're right, you know what? You can have her, 70 year olds are more my type and she looks more like 60". We bursted out into laughter and when we finally calmed down, we came to the decision to give the grandma the hat.

After finishing her character, he closed his laptop. "Well that was fun. Thank you for helping me" he said politely. "Your welcome. I'll get out of your hair now, I'm sure you have a lot to do". I stood up but he stopped me. "Actually, I don't"
