Chapter 12

Akieno's POV

" Bro it feels like we haven't seen you here for days", my colleague complained. I was currently at work but the place itself made me think of Reign. "Hello dude, are you even listening to me?", Mike nagged. "Yes I heard you. And I am always at work, you are the one that calls in sick every day to go pick up some chick at the eyeful tower".The truth is, the only time I was at work ,was that day I brought Reign here to watch my anime, but he didn't have to know that. I turned back to my PC and continued editing episode two of the anime I showed Reign.

She's gonna be so happy when it's ready. " Akie, can you check this out for a sec?", Erin called me over to his desk. "I've been looking at the ratings that your new anime has gotten and it's blowing through the roof. It's the most watched episode streaming all over the world right now". I couldn't believe it. Feeling extra motivated, I jumped back into my seat and continued with episode two.

Two hours later I decide to take a break and go on lunch. "I'll be back in 30 minutes guys", they all just gave a "ya whatever" response, and continued with their work. Talk about dedicated workers hey.

I sat on a bench that has a perfect view of the eyeful tower. As I chewed on my chicken pie, Reign sneaked into my mind. I didn't see her this morning cause I was late for work and I want to give her some space to think about what I said last night. At the same time I don't want to give her space cause I love being around her.

" Why so down chump?", I looked up and there she was right infront of me. Her hair was down and she was wearing a pretty dress. "I was just thinking about this girl that I missed, but now she's here". Her cheeks started to redden when she realized I'm talking about her. She sat down next to me. "So listen, there's something I have to tell you". I turned towards her, showing her she has all of my attention. Did she make up her mind of what I said last night? " Blake called me last night...and he explained to me the whole situation that came off as cheating. It was actaully just a misunderstanding". That was the last thing I was hoping to hear from her. "So does that mean you aren't breaking up with him?", I asked. I spoke in a calm manner even though my insides wanted to scream of hurt. "I...I haven't decided yet but I'm going home tomorrow and then we will see what happens".

"Say something", I suddenly heard her whisper. "You haven't said anything for minutes now". I didn't even realize that I went mute. I stood up from the bench and looked at her." If you feel like taking him back, that's your decision Reign. You don't need my permission". With that said, I made my way back to my work place and left Reign alone on the bench.

"Akie, the guys and I are going for drinks after work. Are you in?" I'm not much of a drinker but maybe some booze will flush Reign out of my system for a while. "Yeah, I'm in".

I stumble a little down the hallway trying to get to my hotel room. Why is everything spinning? I only had 5 beers, or was it 6? One of those two are correct. I finally get to my door and open it. Slowly but surely I make it to my bed and slam onto it. A huge sigh escapes my mouth. Tomorrow I'm losing the one girl that's able to give me sparks like Nina did. No one will ever replace Nina, but the sparks I feel with Reign is completely different. Ontop of everything, Reign doesn't even look like Nina. Nina had green eyes, but Reign has blue eyes. Nina liked wearing jeans and a shirt, but all I see Reign wearing are dresses. Nina had blonde hair, Reign has black hair. My point is, she does not remind me of my dead girlfriend. When I think of her, I only think of her and her alone. I can even smell her perfume right now. It's like vanilla chocolate and flowe-. "Akieno, what are you doing in my room?"
