8 - Fast Forward to Present

That trip at the lake house was the last time Yuna joined the group. She's gone way too close to Irene that her attraction to Jin made her feel she was betraying her friend. She made an excuse of not joining their group anymore because of her workload from school before her graduation. She wasn't really lying because she had so many things to do from research works to exams and projects she needed to complete. 

Whenever Yuna gets a chance to talk with Jin, her heart still races like crazy and she barely makes eye contact with him because she's scared he might see through her. She likes talking with him, not just because she likes him but also because he can talk about anything under the sun. Every moment she spends with him, she keeps in the treasure chest of her heart. 

Aliya graduated two months before she did. Her mom, Taehyung, Jimin, and Jungkook flew to the States to attend her graduation. Unfortunately, Yuna couldn't leave because of the things she needed to do. 

When it was Yuna's turn to graduate, Aliya was there too and so was her mom, So-Young together with the boys Taehyung, Jimin, and Jungkook. Her own mother didn't stay to finish the ceremony. That made her sad but she's got everyone who stayed and celebrated with her so she couldn't ask for anything more.

Not soon after that, Jimin and Soyeon broke up. Jimin found out that she was dating her ex behind his back. He found out about it because one of his friends from work saw them having dinner.

Just as Aliya promised her friend, she was going to confront Soyeon for betraying Jimin but he stopped her. He said there'd be no sense for her to do it.  He decided to move out of that neighborhood to avoid running into her. He may not openly admit it but everyone can see that he got hurt.

After visiting Aliya's condo unit which her mom gave her, Jimin found the building appealing enough for him to get his own place there too. The place is new, has strict security, and privacy which he liked to have. No nosy neighbors who likes asking questions whenever they see him with a different girl. He went back to choosing casual hookups instead of a serious relationship. He promised himself that he won't make the same mistake again.

A few months later, Jin announced that he and Irene went separate ways because they both wanted to concentrate on their jobs. It was a big surprise for everyone considering they've been together for so long. He said that it was a mutual decision and they separated on good terms. He didn't look hurt or brokenhearted because in the latter part of their relationship, they treated each other more as friends and they still remain friends.

Irene had confided to Yuna about this before she and Jin decided to end their relationship. This was the reason why Yuna decided to stay away. She didn't want to look like she was taking advantage of the situation. That is not how she wants her relationship to start. She wants the guy to like her first. Perhaps that's the reason why she never got into any relationship at all, she's too idealistic.

PRESENT TIME

After another two years, Nari and Namjoon got engaged. Taehyung met Jia, and their relationship was so intense that they got married in less than two years. Hoseok started dating a nice and sweet girl just as he described his ideal girl would be like. Jin met someone new who he really loved this time, unfortunately, she didn't treat him or their relationship right. That caused them to break up. Yuna still liked Jin as she did before, but she rarely joins their friends' group gatherings anymore. Miya, his previous girlfriend openly showed she didn't like her, so she stayed away. 

The biggest turn of event was when her sister from another mother, Aliya,  had fallen in love with Yoongi. When they started hooking up, Yuna was surprised because it was something she least expected to happen. They rarely spoke with each other before and all this time, she thought her friend was in love with Taehyung, her best friend. But then Yoongi left for Japan and Aliya tried to appear not to miss him when her eyes gave her away. She's always been this bubbly girl with an infectious smile so it's not hard to miss when she's trying to put up an appearance for everyone.
