37 - Missing You

He's not going to deny how sad he is feeling over Yuna's trip to LA. She is the biggest thing that ever happened to him and he is used to having her next to him all the time. Their relationship is less than a year but, to him, it feels like it was longer. He's thinking if only he had acted upon what he felt when he first met her, he would've felt more of her love and would've spent a lot of great moments together. Knowing he has today and the future to spend with her is what he's counting on. Christmas is coming and he wants that day to be very special since it'll be their first year of celebrating it. He already started making all the arrangements, so that everything will be set by the time she gets back.

 After his conversation with her, before she boarded the plane, he went to see Seon-ho, just as he told her. It's always a delight to see his little nephew because he feels relieved of all his worries and stress. His parents were the same too. It's amazing how someone so little could have a great impact on their family. 

"Just have one of your own." His brother joked after dinner when his wife had to take Seon-ho from Jin because it was his time to be fed. 

Jin scoffs before drinking his beer.

"You sound like Mom. Stop that please. I will have one or maybe even three of my own, but not right now. I still have a lot of things to do with the business and my life. It's the same with Yuna too, look at how busy she is with her career. I don't want her to give it all up because of the demands of being a parent."

 "So you think Yuna is going to be 'the' woman who will be the mother of your children?" His brother asked him as he too drank his beer.

"I don't think that Yuna is going to be the woman who will be my children's mother. I know that she is the one who would be the mother of my children and my wife." Jin corrected his brother.

Sejun laughed before he continued to speak.

"You've said the same thing about  Miya."

Jin crushed the can of beer he just emptied with his hand. 

"Miya isn't even on the same level as my Yuna."

Sejun smiled as he watched his younger brother. There was so much conviction in his voice as he said that. 

"I believe you. I've never seen you this way in any of your past relationships."

Before Jin could reply, his phone buzzed. He thought it was Yuna telling him that their flight got delayed, instead, he finds that the message was from Irene.

Papa is gone, I need your help.

Sejun noticed the change in his younger brother's expression.

"Is everything ok?"

Jin puts his phone down before opening a new can of beer which he drank right away.

"Irene's father passed away." 

"Oh, that's sad news. She messaged you?"

"Yes, she said she needs my help." He sighed.

"So what's the deal? Of course, her father passing away is sad news but it seems like there's more to it, and help with what?"

Jin began telling him everything that had been going on since he met her again at the product launch. His brother listened intently saving his comment until Jin finished.

"It seems that Irene has feelings for you again. I thought you two parted ways the two of you felt your relationship isn't growing. So why this all of sudden?" He asked.
