They'd be leaving the next day and Yuna is looking forward to it. To her relief, she didn't see much of Ethan after the night they had dinner at their place. She told Jin about what happened that night and he wasn't very pleased about it.
"He's testing you, he's trying to see if you'll give in if he flirts with you. I know men like him, they use their good looks and charm to steal another man's girl because it satisfies their ego if they succeed. I've heard it all from my friends but damn, it sure as hell doesn't feel good to be on the other side of the playing field." He threw the pen he was holding on the table before rubbing his forehead in frustration. She's never seen him this angry before. The usual calm and good-natured demeanor he has was gone and was replaced with anger which was evident with his tensed jaw and the furrow of his brow. He turned his chair sideways from his phone so she could only see his profile. She wanted to hug him so badly. After a minute of silence, she knew she had to say something.
"I can see that you're upset and I am sorry for having caused you to feel this way. I just thought that I should be honest and let you know."
Jin finally gave a long and heavy sigh, his expression softening as he turned to his phone again.
"It's not your fault Yuna. I just feel completely helpless as I listen to you and think about what happened out there. Men would cross the line as much as they could to get what they wanted. I feel the need to go there just to make this Ethan know his place. I don't care if he's one of the sons of the owner of a big company in America."
"You don't have to do that because by the time you get here, we'll be going home. Honestly, I was caught off guard because I never thought he'd even like me. But I did made it clear to him that I am already committed to you and nothing will ever change how I feel about you." Yuna said softly. As much as she wanted to tell him about her dream that still bothered her until now, she thought it was best not to mention it to him right now. He's still in the process of cooling down from his anger.
The corner of Jin's plump lips lifted over what she said.
"You mean everything to me Yuna. Please, just come home ok?" He said softly.
"I will and you mean everything to me too Jin." She said in response.
Miss Ahn showed up at her work area again and Yuna already knew she was there to deliver a message from her mother.
"Madam wants to let you know that the company will be hosting dinner tonight as a thank you for how our hosts have been very generous to everyone. Madam and I will personally be looking into everything so we're leaving early. You'd be using a different car to get to the venue." She said.
Yuna scowled, this trip was just a never-ending series of dinners and lunches, she thought. She didn't voice out what was in her head.
"Doesn't she want me to help?" Yuna said instead. It's very unlikely of her mother to be doing the work herself.
Miss Ahn shakes her head.
"Madam wants to personally do it to show her gratitude." She replied before she left.
Wow, she knew that the Stewarts and all their staff were very kind to everyone while they were here but her mother's just going over the top by doing this.
Later that afternoon...
Yuna waited for the driver who would pick her up at the designated pick-up point. The other members of the team had left not too long ago and it made her feel that she was already late. Miss Ahn didn't mention which car was coming, so when a black Range Rover pulled up in front of her, she didn't move from her spot. The driver's door opened and Ethan walked out from it with his usual smile. The sun's rays catch his hair highlighting his golden mane while his blue eyes danced as he approached her.
