Jin

Jin and Yuna spent the holiday at the lake house. They were the very first occupants of the place after the renovations. Jin and his friends recently bought it because they wanted to preserve the memories they all had in that place. Jin, Yoongi, and Aliya's bedroom were already done because they knew right away the design they wanted and they didn't get anything revised, unlike the others who kept changing things up until the last minute.

His original plan was to take Yuna to Japan for the holidays, but she only had two days off after Christmas, which wouldn't be enough if he took her outside the country. The place didn't really matter because the most important thing was that they were together.

He is still upset with her over what Irene did that night, but Yuna has constantly reminded him not to hold a grudge against her. She even encouraged him to make sure that Irene was doing fine, but after not being able to reach her phone after trying several times, he gave up. He has no intentions of seeing her personally because he's worried she'd pull another scheme similar to what she did last time. He told himself he'll leave all these issues behind when he and Yuna celebrate their first Christmas together.

He and Yuna drove to the lake house after she had lunch with her family. Yuna wasn't kidding when she said that her family gathered for Christmas just for publicity's sake. When he picked her up at her grandfather's house, he saw the ensemble of photographers leaving the place. By then, Yuna's grandfather had gone upstairs to his room, and Ji-Woo had to take a video conference from a client overseas.

"How did your lunch go?" Jin asked her as they started their drive.

"Same as the previous years, my face hurts from having to smile so much in front of everyone. The food was good this year though. I feel like in past years everything was bland, just props we used for the sake of having great photos for the company's magazine." She flashed him a smile after she spoke.

Jin touched her cheek with the back of his hand as he drove. His heart feels heavy each time she mentions how things are in their family. She has him now, and he'd make sure she'll never be alone anymore.

"You look happy." He can't help saying.

"Of course I am, it's our first Christmas together." She answered. She took his hand and held it in hers as they drove. Moments like these are very precious to him; he felt contentment in his heart and he couldn't be happier.

"Wow!" Yuna exclaimed when Jin opened the door to the bedroom. The room was painted white, but the bedsheets, curtains, and the rest of the display were a mix of light and dark blue. It was very cozy and it set a great vacation room vibe.

Yuna had told him during their drive that it had been years since she last got to visit this place. He felt guilty because he knew he was the reason behind it. His ex, Miya, never wanted other women hanging out with them, and she'd throw a fit whenever that happened. That caused him to be in a bad mood too. His friends never invited women other than their girlfriends whenever Miya was coming for his sake. Unfortunately, she didn't like his friends' girlfriends either.

"I'm glad to see that you like it." Jin said with a big smile, pushing his previous thoughts away. "I must confess that this room was inspired by you. I was wondering back then whether to ask you out or not. I was worried that you'd say no."

Yuna wrinkled her nose with a bashful smile over what he revealed. It's a habit of hers that he found adorable.

"Why would you even doubt about me dating you?"

Jin shrugged. He doubted a lot of things when it came to her. His high level of self-confidence becomes shaky for some unknown reason.

"Honestly, when it comes to you, I tend to be unsure about a lot of things." He laughed although he meant what he said.
