Jin quickly pushed Irene away as he went after Yuna.
"Yuna!" He yelled as Yuna left. "It's not what you think it is."
"What the hell is going on in there then? Did she trip then her lips landed on yours while you've almost got nothing on?" Yuna kept on walking making her way down the stairs as tears well up her eyes. Jin continued to follow behind her.
"We weren't kissing, she was kissing me but I wasn't kissing her back. She caught me by surprise and I didn't see that kiss coming...she just walked into the house because she knew the code from before. Could you please stop walking and let's talk properly." Jin spoke quickly until he was close enough to touch her. He reached out, but she shrugged off his hand from her shoulder.
Her eyes turned towards the stairs to see if Irene was behind them, but she wasn't. Why the hell was she still lingering in Jin's room? She had tried to be understanding with her after all the ordeal that she had gone through, but her patience was wearing thin.
"What lousy timing I have then huh? Imagine my excitement to surprise you and then stumble upon that scene. I was so thrilled to see you but then I was the one who ended up having a big shock. Put yourself in my shoes Jin, what if the situation got reversed, how would you feel?"
Jin's eyes narrowed at that thought as the image of Ethan Stewart flashed in his mind. It's not like him to google other men to gage himself with them but he found himself doing that after the last conversation he had with Yuna. The photos online gave him a clearer picture compared to the one he saw in the magazine before, he could pass as a model from a billboard somewhere. He didn't like the thought of that guy and Yuna together.
"I wouldn't like it of course." His tone clipped as he admitted what he felt.
"Exactly Jin, exactly." Yuna's voice trembled with emotion. "And on top of that, she is your ex too. I might be new to relationships but I sure as hell know that this isn't right." Yuna had been fighting so hard to keep her tears from falling especially when Irene was still there. She didn't want her to see her cry because that wouldmake her feel she's got the upper hand. Yuna will not give her that satisfaction. She also didn't like crying in front of anyone, she's not used to it, thanks to her mother who told her her not to show anyone her weakness.
"It isn't right at all, I know, and I know that you're probably confused and hurt as hell but I didn't expect this either. I love you Yuna, I've missed you so much that it's killing me that we're arguing now that you're back." Jin ran a hand through his still-damp hair in frustration when she keeps on dodging him every time that he tried to touch her.
"Please believe me I didn't expect that she'd be coming here tonight. I just got back from your place because I was getting it ready for tomorrow. I should have changed my door's passcode a long time ago, I'm so sorry." His voice sounded desperate.
Both of them looked up when they saw Irene walking down the stairs. She was holding a wad of tissue on her face, her eyes damp from tears.
"Don't get mad at Jin, Yuna, get mad at me because it's my fault. I came here unannounced when I'm so damn wasted too. I'm sorry, this won't happen again, I promise." She said her eyes not meeting them as she kept her head down.
Yuna scowled at her, she's getting tired of how dramatic she had been getting lately. Her behavior is just going to extremes. I'm sorry is all she had to say after locking lips with Jin, really? Yuna was so mad at Irene that she moved up to her intending to confront her for the mess she had been making in her life. As she stepped closer, she caught sight of a red tinge on the tissue.
"What in the world is wrong now? Is that blood?" She got distracted over what she saw because there seems to be a lot of it. Jin looked up, he wondered if he pushed her too hard earlier. He is sure that he didn't.
