"Where are we going? I thought we were having dinner?" Yuna asks Jin as they crossed the street walking away from his place. They pass by houses which seem to be vacation homes too. Yet even if there wasn't really anyone around, the area was anything but scary. There were street lights along their path, and the night is extra bright because the full moon was illuminating the sky.
Earlier that evening, she found Jin waiting for her in the living room after she went for a quick shower. Just like her, he had freshened up and was wearing a fresh set of clothes too. His eyes danced when he asked her if she was ready for dinner. She could feel how exhilarated he is as he led the way while holding her hand tightly in his.
"Just wait and see." He answers her question. This man definitely loves surprises, she thought to herself.
As they walked further, Yuna could already tell which direction they were heading. She held her breath until they reached their destination.
The lighthouse was a few meters from them and next to it stretched a wooden dock that had string lights on each side. It lead towards a large area where a wooden canopy covered in sheer fabric of pink and lavender was set up. Inside it was a table which has a wine glasses and a bottle of champagne sitting on top of an ice bucket. There were large railings surrounding them securing everything. The sound of the waves that crash through the shore fills the air like an orchestra, while the full moon and the stars all glowing in the sky just made the scene perfect.
"Wow." She gasps as she admired the romantic setup in front of her. She couldn't believe her eyes. This is something you see in a drama or movie but not in real life, especially hers, she thought.
"I know I could've just taken you to a fancy restaurant but I've done all that before. This time, I want to do something unique. Just like you." Jin tells her looking into her eyes as he said it.
If she could freeze time, she would do it at this very moment. The look in his eyes made her heart leap. Nobody has ever looked at her that way before. She was lost for words to tell him. She is too overwhelmed.
"Thank you." That was all she managed to say.
He returns her smile while his hand moves to tuck her hair behind her ear as the wind gently blew. No wonder he asked her to bring a cardigan.
"Don't thank me yet, the evening just started." He answers before leading her towards the area they will be having dinner in.
Three men in a black and white uniform appeared carrying a tray with them. They expertly placed each plate which had their food in front of them. They gave them a quick bow before they turned and left.
"I thought Mrs. Yeong was going to cook steak." Yuna comments when they were alone.
"She did. Her steak is really one of a kind. The rest of the food are from a famous restaurant here. Many people have posted it on Tiktok so now, tourists come over to try out their dish. We will stop by there too before we leave." Jin said.
Jin takes the champagne and opens the bottle with a loud pop. He starts pouring out the bubbly wine into the nearby glasses for the two of them. As soon as they each have their glasses he starts to speak.
"Yuna, let me start off by saying, sorry for being stupid. You were just right in front of me and I let my eyes wander elsewhere. I should've listened to what my heart was saying the first time I saw you." Yuna tries to speak but he holds his hand up as he continued. "Here's to the start of our relationship. Let's take this journey together, not just me or you but us. If one of us gets weak and tired, the other one will be there to be its strength. Until we are ready to face the next step after this stage which I am looking forward to taking."
