A/N: Bonjour, Amores. I just wanted to ask for advice. My contract with my previous publisher there in the Philippines had ended months ago and yet, I discovered that they still sell my books on their online store. Should I call them out about this? What should I do about this? It's frustrating especially that I don't live there.

CHAPTER 4

THE NEXT day, Chloe went to work like a zombie as she couldn't sleep properly last night. Until now, she still couldn't believe that the guy she had a one-night stand with three years ago was now working at Larsen Corp. and now, she would see him everyday.

She'd hoped that their paths would never cross again especially that she already left Nashville but she was wrong.

She didn't know why she seemed affected seeing him again when the last thing she remembered about him was her anger.

Upon parking her car in the underground parking of the Larsen Corp., she got out of her car like she didn't have enough energy to even walk. Damn. She wanted to just stay at home and sleep instead but she knew that she couldn't do that.

Upon getting her handbag, she locked her car and was about to head towards the elevator when she noticed a unpleasant presence behind her.

She turned around and saw that man. He looked familiar. Then, it hit her. He used to stalk her when she was still active in the entertainment industry. She had been living normally ever since she left the limelight and she didn't expect to see this stalker again. How did he find me here?!

Chloe's eyes widened as she gasped in panic when he started walking up to her. Oh, God. How did he manage to enter this building anyway?!

"Chloe, can I talk with you? Just a couple of your time will do." He looked so creepy and even his voice sounded so creepy. The way he was smirking at her like some kind of a psycho made her skin break out in goosebumps.

She shook her head vigorously.

"No! Get away from me!" With long strides, she headed towards the direction of the elevator while kept glancing behind her, checking if he was following her. God! He was indeed following her!

She picked up her steps, almost running and when he saw him running after her, she was about to scream in horror when she collided into something hard.

"Good morning." She lifted her gaze to the person who greeted her and saw Cross, standing at the open door of the elevator. Because of so much panic, she didn't even notice him standing there until she collided into him. Judging from the tools on the floor, the elevator was down and he was in the middle of fixing it.

"G-Good morning too."

"Are you okay? You look scared. Did something happen?" Cross asked with furrowed eyebrows as he glanced at the direction that she came from.

"N-Nothing. I'm okay." She tried her hardest to act normal but her trembling voice gave her way.

"No, you're not okay. Tell me, what happened?" His voice sounded tender while gazing at her full of gentleness. She bit her lower lip. It was useless lying now. She was scared and wanted nothing but to get away from that man as far as she could.

"S-someone's following me." His eyes turned into slits dangerously. He was about to say something when something caught his attention behind me.

"Hey! Who are you?! Why are you following her?!" The stalker seemed to get threatened of Cross' angry voice so he tried to flee but Cross chased after him and Chloe's eyes widened when he actually caught him.
