Begin
~Normal POV
11/12 - Saturday
The last few days had been rather quiet. Everyone was putting their best efforts into staying positive and living their lives as normal during the long wait. No bad news had come lately, which helped them cope better. Finals would be coming up soon too. So that was fun to look forward to. But at least they wouldn't have to worry about any more tests after that for the rest of the year. Yu took to his usual routine of spending time with the others, either for the company or to help them with something. That was usually how it went. And it was good for him. It kept things feeling normal. Rise was no exception to this.
She could tell that it was a bit painful to be living alone in his house right now. So today, she took up his offer to come over after school, so that he could have a little company.
Some might say this wasn't the time for such a thing, but Yu had been the one to ask her. They hadn't gotten a chance to do this yet, with the case getting in the way constantly. It was also better than sitting in an empty house, hence why he usually stayed out until evening, to not have to go home right away. It was tough, but he was managing. And Rise wouldn't dare allow him to get gloomy while she was around. Spending a little time with his girl always cheered him up. He brought her over and, naturally, the first place they went was up to his room.
Yu watched with a little smile as she curiously looked around. She seemed a bit nervous, which was very unlike Rise, but still cute to see.
"Uh... um..." Rise said, sheepishly. "I am currently in senpai's room... It seems quite clean for a boy his age... There doesn't seem to be anything lying around that he wouldn't want me to see..."
Yu chuckled at her comments. Silly girl, she really didn't need to be so bashful. They were just standing in his room. There was nothing weird about that. Of course, he didn't think he would get a chance to do the reverse. Her grandma liked him well enough, but he highly doubted he'd ever be allowed in Rise's room. (Unless she fixed it to where nobody else would be home first... A trick that would be very like Rise.)
"Now then, where could the goods in question be hiding?!" She turned to him at last. "I'll ask the man himself! So- where do you hide them?!"
He smirked, "You mean my Risette albums? They're right over there." He pointed to his CD shelf behind her.
"Oh, stop acting all normal! You know how embarrassed I feel right now?! Geez!"
He laughed. "You're cute like this."
Rise pouted at him a little. "I've never been in a guy's room before, so I tried covering it up, and you... You meanie..."
She wasn't mad though, just rather nervous. They'd been dating for a while now, but she'd never had the opportunity to visit before. She was happy when he made the offer. He was in a bad state right now, and needed the company; company she was happy to provide. Plus, she had something important to tell him. Something she'd been thinking over on her own and needed to share with him before anyone else.
"Senpai... you're leaving in the spring, right?"
Yu looked at her quizzically. He wasn't expecting her to ever bring that up. "I have to, yeah..."
"Well, I've made up my mind about something. You see..." She smiled, "I'm thinking of going back into showbiz this spring."
"Oh, really? You're sure about that?"
"Mhmm! I am Risette, after all... And when I consider it that way, I think I can have more fun working. I know how hard it is for a star to make a comeback after an entire year's absence... But even then, I want to start over from the beginning. Do you remember the fan who gave me that letter?"
