Meeting Darkwing Duck in real life was an odd situation, after all he was a fictional character. He wasn't the same, though. He adopted a more serious persona, I could see it in his eyes. However, he was still incredibly goofy, in an endearing way. He slammed a group of kidnappers around while dizzy, punching them into the sides of the alley they had escaped into.
As he stumbled around a little I held the drugged woman they had taken in my arms, I had started the fight, but was pushed away by the masked duck in purple. As I watched the last person fall to the ground getting tied up, I saw DW turn around and look at me.
"That was incredible, yet dangerous what you did there." He said, trying to take the woman into his arms when I stopped him.
"Police are on the way, I don't know if you wanna stick around." I spoke, "and isn't your catchphrase 'let's get dangerous'?" I asked jokingly.
"Oh so you're a fan too?" He asked.
"Definitely not as much as you are, but I am one." I laughed.
As I heard the sirens close in I turned to spot the cars pull in. I looked back to DW to see him gone. Walking out of the alley I watched as Officer James Kingsly walked out, and the ambulance pull in.
"McQuack, you're the only detective I know that would get into trouble on their day off." He sighed.
I gave the officer a shake of my head, handing the woman to paramedics.
"She's drugged." I said and they nodded, quickly taking the woman away in the ambulance.
"What in the world happened to these guys?" James looked to me after walking into the alley.
"Oh you are never gonna believe it, this guy dressed as Darkwing Duck, jumped into the alley after I chased them in and helped me get my hands on the girl before beating them all up." I said in one breath.
"Wow, I'd believe it with Gizmoduck in Duckberg and Scrooge McDuck running around all over the world." He then laughed, "Your brother is sure going to get a kick out of this!"
"Oh you're so right, I have to call LP." I laughed out with him.
"After you come back to the station to give your statement about this kidnapping, though, right?" James said, elbowing me.
"Right." I sighed.
Hours later I was leaving the station, shaking my head at myself for wasting the last hours of my day off. Even more upset my brother had better plans with the McDuck family then to come over.
After making my way home, I kicked my shoes off and flopped onto the couch of my living room to call Launchpad. Soon hearing his voice answer the phone, I realized it was his voice mail.
"This is Launchpad McQuack! Sorry I can't catch your call, I'm probably with my super cool family the McDucks! OH IT'S CRASHING-" It then cuts off there with the beep, to which I hang up.
LP never answers voicemails. And I'm second to the richest duck in the world and his family I suppose.
Then the thumping of my door being knocked on quickly invades my silence, along with a muffled voice.
"My really cool sibling lives here, I'm sure they'll love to meet you!" It was Launchpad, and when I opened the door he was standing there with this really cute guy in purple.
"Launchpad McQuack, it is 10pm, why are you here, and why didn't you answer your phone." I said sternly, I was already upset with him. I then looked at his friend who quickly covered up a shocked face with a nervous smile, "You've brought a friend."
