"Hey, Charles?" I asked, grabbing the attention of the man I was on a call with.
"Yeah, [Y/N]?" I heard from the other side of the line.
This was it. I was finally tell him, after 4 years. I took a deep breath.
"I love you." I mumbled, snuggling farther into my sheets.
I heard Charles' breath hitch.
"You do?" I heard Charles speak through the device.
"Y- Yeah, of course I do." I mumbled.
"I love you, too, [Y/N]." I smiled at Charles' words.
"That's good." I spoke, yawning.
"Mmhm." I heard Charles yawn.
I slowly fell asleep, to Charles talking about dinner plans or something.
Eventually, Charles stopped talking, hearing soft snores from the other side of the phone line. He smiled, listening to [Y/N], and slowly falling asleep himself.
