Timephoon AU
!Connects to my last Gyro oneshot "Time"!
AU where Gyro goes to 1946 before the events of Timephoon, but doesn't go back for [Y/N] just yet
I was caught by that odd lightening, and then I appeared inside a large room. I spotted a familiar face on the stairs.
"Gyro?" I asked, before falling to the floor with a thud. His head shot to me, before his eyes widened in shock.
"[Y/N]?!" He asked, quickly running down the stairs.
Everyone's attention shot to the woman who was taken by the lightening, all crying out. Only before shooting back to me a few moments later.
"Uh... Gyro?" I awkwardly said with a laugh just as awkward, looking to the man.
"Is that my shirt?" Gyro asked, which made me look down to see that yes, it was his shirt he left behind when he left your small flower shop.
"I think there's bigger problem here than if i'm wearing your shirt Gyro, they're all staring at me and there's a whole ass dinosaur right there." I said, pointing at the Triceratops chasing the little boy in blue.
"Gyro! Find that time tub!" A man with a Scottish accent shouted out to Gyro.
"On it." Gyro said, but then we were immediately zapped with the weird time altering lightening, "I've immediately failed you!" He shouted out before we were gone in a flash of light.
-
In another flash of light, Gyro and I fell to the ground. Looking up I saw we were in an alleyway. Then I saw Gyro face first into the ground.
"Gyro? Are you okay?" I asked. Instead of answering, Gyro rolled onto his back.
"I hate it here." He groaned, and I laughed.
We then noticed the sounds of horses galloping, and looked outside of the alley. Horse drawn carriages riddled the street. Gyro sighed at this.
"We're in the 1800's. Great." Gyro said sarcastically as he stood up, dusting himself off. Then walking over to help me up.
"What do we do?" I asked, dusting myself off.
"We should find a way to get back, probably." He said, and I nodded.
"Wait, Gyro. We need disguises, or at least clothing from this time." I said, stopping the man.
"Right."
-
We sprinted out of the clothing store as fast as we could, a bag of clothing in my hands. Gyro had taken my hand at some point and was weaving us through the crowds. At some point the police started chasing us, which wasn't helping.
"Gyro!" I shouted, trying to get his attention.
"What?!" He looked back at me for a second before seeing the police running after us.
"We need to hide!" I shouted, and he nodded.
-
Eventually we got away, and hid in an alleyway. We then found our way to an abandoned home. Deciding to wait until morning to change into the newly acquired clothing, we settled down for the night. By settled down, I mean we laid in the middle of the floor of the empty home.
"Hey, Gyro?" I asked, rolling over to see the man already looking at me, it was dark but I could still see his eyes shining.
"Yes?" Gyro's voice echoed slightly in the empty house.
"I..." I started, but quickly re-thought was I was going to say before continuing, "How long do you think you were gone for?" I asked.
"From 1946?" He asked, and I hummed "A week or two, why do you ask?" He said, sounding confused.
"You've been gone for a month, for me at least." I said, looking at the ceiling away from his eyes, "Also, yes, I am wearing your shirt." I said, looking back to the man.
"You-" Gyro let out an exasperated sigh, "It looks good on you." he said, and I felt my face light on fire. I rolled closer to the man, and laid my head on his chest.
"Thanks." I mumbled, growing tired as his arm wrapped around my waist. Gyro hummed, placing a kiss on my forehead before I fell asleep.
-
It was the next day, Gyro and I had put on our era appropriate outfits, and I had to admit, Gyro looked good. By now we were far from the house we slept in, and had found our way onto a train. A first class train at that, which was odd that we had so easily slipped in. We sat near the door of the train car, away from any prying eyes.
"How exactly do you plan on getting back to 2018, and then taking me back to 1946?" I asked the man, who sighed.
"I'm not taking you back to 1946." Gyro stated, looking out the window.
"Oh..." I said, surprised with his decision. We then sat in silence, it wasn't awkward however. I stared at Gyro for most of it, I scolded myself internally, yet I just couldn't look away. "Curse you Gyro Gearloose." I mumbled, which caught his attention.
"What are you cursing me for?" He asked.
"For appearing in my home, staying there, pulling me into your time shenanigans, and being so damn cute." I said, and Gyro's face turned red. It took a few moments for Gyro to respond, but what he said I wasn't really expecting.
"Curse you for giving me unnecessary feelings." Gyro grumbled, looking out the window with his face red.
"Well, looks like we both have those unnecessary feelings." I said, a smile on my face. Gyro looked at me, a smile on his face as well.

In a flash of light, Gyro and I were back at McDuck Manor. As we fell into the time tub, Gyro grabbed me so he broke my fall. I looked at him in confusion as we sat up, hearing green hoodie boy get scolded. He kicked the tub as he walked past it, mumbling something. I felt bad for the boy, because he really was sorry, yet he did send us all to different time periods.
"Oh, there's still one left." The big guy with orange hair spoke, looking at me. A few people who hadn't left already had looked over us.
"Oh no..." I mumbled, worried they'll send me back to 1946.
"Ah, well, I'm sure you'll take care of that, won't ya, Gyro?" the man with the Scottish accent said. Gyro looks at me with fear in his eyes before clearing his throat.
"With all due respect Mr. McDuck, I will not be sending [Y/N] back to 1946." Gyro spoke, which caused, I'm guessing, Scrooge to look at him confused.
"Why not?" Scrooge asked, one of his eyebrows raised.
Gyro climbed out of the tub at this question, his hand holding mine. Immediately it was understood, and Scrooge nodded. Now it was just us in the large room.
"Hey, dreamboat, how the hell are we getting this back to your lab?"
