"So take a look what you've done, cause baby, now we got bad blood"
I ignored the gaze of my grandfather. It had been mere days since we returned from Driftmark. He was still very angry at my outburst. I refused to apologize to Jacaerys and Lucerys. It was Jacaerys who cut Vaella's face, to him it was an accident, he didn't mean to.
An accident that was supposed to be forgiven but I knew I would never be able to forgive such a thing. He was easily my closest friend here and to know he had hurt my sister in that way broke my heart more than I'd like to admit.
"You looked erratic" he said.
"I didn't harm them" I said. "I was only protecting my sister."
"I know.. there was not much I could do" he said.
"They scarred Vaella for life! Aemond lost his eye!" I said. "There was no punishment for it! How is that not in itself treason!"
"Watch your tongue, Visenya" he said.
"What would my father think of you letting this happen?" I asked. "Both Vaella and Aemond are only one and ten! And they are both scarred for life while Rhaenyra's children are unharmed."
His face softened at the mention of my father.
"There was nothing I could do, Visenya.." he sighed.
"I'm sorry for the way I acted.. I should not have acted out that way, I could've gone about it a different way, I know that" I said. "But I am to protect my sisters, and now Vaella is forever marked. I understand if you are to replace me as heir.. I don't like it but I understand. I lost control..."
He sighed, ordering Ser Harrold out of his chambers.
"I have no intention to replace you as heir" he said. "It has been a rough few months. I know what it is like to lose your father young.. I have been without my parents for sometime now... it is pain I did not wish upon you for a very long time."
"I miss him" I whispered.
"It does not get easy, my dear" he said. "But you are a fighter.. you will make a fine Queen one day."
"But if I'm Queen then that means.." I trailed off. "I wish this was easier.."
"Being apart of the House of the Dragon is not easy, I'm afraid" he said.
I looked down as he began coughing. I stood up, going to his side as the coughing continued. Ser Harrold came back in, bringing him to his bed as I watched.
"You should not see him like this, Princess" Ser Harrold said.
I nodded, leaving his chambers. I walked down the halls, looking up to see Jacaerys. I stopped walking, turning around to go the opposite direction. I could hear him following me as I walked as fast as I could.
"Visenya!" He said.
"Leave me alone, Jace" I said.
He continued after me as I finally stopped.
"What!" I said.
"You are mad? You tried to attack Luc!" He said.
"Are you serious?" I said.
"You don't even know what happened" he said. "I'm sorry."
"I know enough. You cut my sisters face!" I said. "And you want me to forgive you?"
"It was an accident!" He said.
"She lost part of her ear and she is scarred for life" I said. "An apology does nothing. We both know Vaella would never say such insults. And now she is forever reminded of that event every time she looks at her reflection."
"You were going to hurt Luc" he said.
"Is that your only argument?" I asked. "If I really wanted to, I would've. I would've pushed past Ser Criston and attacked Luc like I wanted."
"Vhagar was not Aemond's to claim" he said.
I laughed, shaking my head.
"If Vhagar didn't want Aemond to claim her, she would've thrown him off" I said. "I understand Baela wanted to claim her mothers dragon but that doesn't mean she was entitled to do so. A dragon can be claimed by anyone."
"It was her right!" He said.
"You're insufferable!" I snapped. "You are not hearing what I am saying."
I looked over my shoulder as Aegon approached us.
"I have other things to tend do, if you'll excuse me" I said.
I walked towards Aegon as he glared at Jacaerys.
