"I hope you remember today is never too late to be brand new"

My eyes could not find themselves in one place as I looked around the small council chambers. The accounts were boring me to the brink of madness. I skipped them as much as I could but I knew eventually I would not be able to do such task.

Alicent could tell I was not listening by the way my body sat beside hers. She hated them as much as I did. They didn't happen too often, but often enough to try and avoid them. Now that my grandfather was practically called to his bed, Alicent took his place in the meetings.

"Princess?" Lord Tyland said.

I snapped back to reality, realizing everyone was looking at me.

"Yes?" I said.

"Did you hear us?" He asked.

I nodded as they waited for an answer. I glanced at Alicent who looked as if she wanted to smack the back of my head.

"How are the young Princes?" He asked.

"Oh! They are doing quiet well.. walking now so..." I said.

"Have you decided which one will be your heir?" He asked.

"Baelon.. he was born first" I said.

I felt a tingle at the tip of my nose as I held back the forming of tears in my eyes.

"A wonderful name for the future King" he said.

I slightly nodded as everyone left, leaving Alicent and I alone.

"You decided on Baelon?" She asked.

"It's the only fair way.." I said.

"Many say the name is cursed in itself" she said. "An heir with that name never makes it to become king."

"The same could be said about Visenya" I said. "Every Targaryen who has wished to call their daughter that has died.. and yet here I am."

The doors opened as we both turned our heads to Ser Arryk.

"The Prince is looking for you, Princess" he said.

I nodded, looking at Alicent.

"I need to find my husband it appears" I said.

I left the small council chambers with him as he led me outside to the gardens. I tried to hide my smile as I neared Aegon. He was looking at the flowers in confusion.

"Are you ill?" I asked. "You never come out here."

"Yeah, well, you're enamored with it.. thought I'd see why" he said.

"I'm not.. it's just peaceful out here" I said. "Valaena and I used to come out her often before.."

I trailed off, grabbing his hand. I leaned my head against his shoulder as he set his head upon mine. We walked through the gardens, getting much needed fresh air from the toxicity that laid between the walls of the castle.

Aegon and I had gone our separate ways for some hours. I forced him to go spend time with Aemond. I spent time alone in our chambers, practicing magic I hadn't done since Vaella died.

I stood, looking out the window as the door opened. I turned around expecting Aegon, being met with Jacaerys eyes instead.

"Jace.. you cannot be in here" I said.

"I must say my feelings" he said.

"Leave" I said.

I went to push him away as he held onto my hand. I tried to yank it away, his new found strength taking hold.

"I love you, Visenya.. after everything... I always have and I cannot hold onto it any longer" he said. "I want to have a life with you.."

"If we are caught in here alone.." I said.

"That night-" he started.

"It never happened" I said.

I pulled my hand away as he stepped forward. I stepped back into the wall as he grew bolder.

"I do not wish to hurt you, Jace, but if you do not back away from me right now I will-" I said.

His body was yanked away from me as Aegon's fist collided with Jacaerys' face.

"Aegon!" I yelled.

"Back away!" He said.

I remained still as punch after punch, Jacaerys pleaded with Aegon to stop. Aegon was showing no sign of stoppage until Ser Arryk ran in with his brother by his side, tearing Aegon off Jacaerys. Aegon's knuckles were stained with blood, his face showed splatters of blood as I couldn't force myself to look at Jacaerys.

"Do not ever touch my wife again!" He yelled.

Aegon grabbed my face, Jacaerys' blood dripping down my cheeks as I finally looked at him. His body was barely moving as panic struck inside my body. He looked as if he was barely breathing. More knights piled in, taking Jacaerys out of our chambers. I cleaned up Aegon's hands to remove the blood when Alicent came in.

"Is he.." I said.

"The maesters are tending to him" she said. "Rhaenyra think it best she leaves with her sons and Daemon."

"To where?" I asked.

"Dragonstone" she said.

"Dragonstone is mine.. I am the Princess of Dragonstone!" I said.

"We need a compromise of sorts.. Aegon could have killed him" she said.

I looked at Aegon who slightly nodded.

"Very well" I said.

I put my hand on Aegon's cheek, leaning in as our foreheads collided.

"Whatever keeps our boys safe" he said.

I nodded, placing my lips on his.
