"Lord, what will become of me, once I've lost my novelty?"

I waited in the courtyard as the gates opened. I put my hands on my growing stomach as the carriages came to a halt. I smiled, nudging both Vaella and Saera. They straightened their postures as our grandfather walked out of the first carriage. My mothers youngest sister walked out right after him.

"I hope the travels were smooth" I said.

My mothers sisters went to bow as I held my hand up.

"It is not needed" I said.

"It is" my grandfather said. "Look at you three."

I smiled as he walked towards Saera, putting his hands on her head. He turned to Vaella, looking into her eyes, a smile forming on his face.

"It has been thirteen years since I seen those eyes" he said.

"I am sure you would like to get settled in before meeting the babies" I said.

"Another on the way?" He asked.

I looked at my stomach, nodding.

"Hoping for a girl" I said.

I was the first back inside the castle as Alicent stood beside Ser Criston. She walked to my grandfather, grabbing his hand to shake.

"Lord Erik, it's a pleasure to be in your presence once more" she said.

"The pleasure is all mine, Your Grace" he said.

"Ser Criston, please show them their quarters" I said.

He nodded, walking further down the hall as I let out a shaky breath. I put my hand over my stomach as cramps came out of nowhere.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Saera asked.

"I'm fine, don't worry" I said. "Have you chosen a suitor?"

She looked around, wanting to avoid the question.

"I wish for you to be taken care of" I said.

"I don't want to marry" she said.

I looked at Vaella, who hadn't said a word.

"I'm sure Aemond is somewhere looking for you" I said.

She smiled, walking away.

"I'm afraid you don't have much of a choice" I said. "I plan on betrothing Vaella to Aemond but I need to do something with you."

She looked down as I grabbed her face.

"I know you do not want to.. I understand but it needs to happen one way or another" I said.

"I miss father.." she whispered.

My eyes softened as I pulled her in.

"I miss him too" I whispered.

I pulled apart to grab her face. My smile faded when I saw Rhaenyra walk outside. I straightened up to appear more threatening.

"Visenya" she said.

"Saera, go inside" I said.

"I'm not leaving you" she said.

"I said go" I said. "I will not repeat myself once more."

She reluctantly went inside as I watched Rhaenyra inch towards me.

"I do hope the Prince Lucerys is recovering quick" I said.
