Third Person POV:
For the next couple months, Y/N's days consisted of mostly training, working, hanging with Midoriya and Bakugo, and taking care of her mother.
Before she knew it, the day of the entrance exam had arrived.
"Alright, mother. I'm off to the entrance exam. Wish me luck."
She took a last glance at her listless form and shut the door.
Even though the girl tried to ignore it, her hands were shaking ever so slightly.
She'd passed the written exam with flying colors, but the entrance exam was what she had been preparing for — for years. The girl knew she was immensely powerful, and her technique wasn't half bad either. But she always worried she was going to make a mistake and blow the whole thing.
It was a long walk to the training center, which did nothing for her nerves. It only gave her more time to worry.
As she approached the large buildings, she couldn't help but feel slightly intimidated.
But then a familiar face distracted her.
"Hey, Deku," She called.
The boy caught sight of her and beamed, running over. He looked slightly red and flustered.
"Y/N, guess what? I just talked to a girl. Well actually, it was more like I tripped and she caught me and then walked away...but you know I guess it's like...you know..."
"You're about to take the exam to get into the school you've been dreaming about since you were a baby. And you're getting distracted by a girl?" Y/N laughed.
This snapped him out of his trance.
"R-right! Sorry! How are you feeling about the exam?"
She shrugged.
"I'm not sure. I don't have much idea about what to expect, or who we'll be up against. How are you feeling?"
"I'm sure you'll be fine. You're super powerful — even stronger than Kacchan. Me on the other hand, well, I didn't even get the chance to try out my new Quirk. For all I know, it didn't even transfer correctly." He said.
Y/N's eyes widened.
"He only gave you your Quirk today?"
"Well, I only finished cleaning up the beach this morning — "
"Is he trying to get you killed?" Y/N interrupted, before taking a breath to compose herself.
"Sorry. You know what Deku? It doesn't matter. Just trust in yourself. You'll do great." She smiled at him, and he returned it gratefully.
"For all you examiner listeners tuning in today, welcome to my show!" A booming voice echoed throughout the room.
Y/N and Deku were now in the orientation for the incoming students. Deku was losing it over Present Mic, but Y/N thought the guy seemed a little obnoxious.
"Everybody say 'hey'!" Present Mic continued.
Nobody said 'hey'.
The pro went on to describe the nature of the exam. There were four kinds of robots that would be present in the area. One-pointers, two-pointers, and three-pointers."
"May I ask a question?" A commanding voice suddenly cut through the words of Present Mic.
All eyes turned to a tall muscular boy with glasses, who had stood up and was holding his hand above his head.
