Your POV
After the visit to Todoroki's house, I couldn't stop thinking about what had happened.
There's no way Endeavor would actually consider trying to get ahold of me. He's not that crazy. Right?
Todoroki ignored me for the next couple of days. I couldn't seem to figure out the reason, but everytime we accidentally made eye contact I sensed something — guilt. Did he blame himself for his father's behavior?
Soon, the first day of interning arrived, and Class 1-A gathered at the train station. Each of us were holding our costumes and bags in hand, and there were excited chatters coming from everyone.
I stood next to Bakugo, who looked considerably less angry than usual.
"So where did you pick?" I asked.
"Best Jeanist."
Huh. Not what I expected.
"Why? Did you discover a newfound love for denim?"
"Idiot. He's the number four hero. That means he's the best offer I got."
I failed to mention that I had received an offer from the number two hero. He could hear that from someone besides me.
When it was time to board the trains, I said goodbye to my friends and found Todoroki, who was off standing by himself.
"Are you ready to go?"
He nodded.
"You've been avoiding me for the past couple of days. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you feel guilty about your father. You don't have to. It's ridiculous. None of it is your fault — and I don't blame you."
"That's not why," he said.
However, he was considerably more friendly to me after I said that.
We took our seats across from each other on the train, and Todoroki leaned back and fell asleep. I put in my earbuds and tried not to think about the fact that I was going to see Endeavor once again — and also possibly people that knew my father.
We were dropped off about an hour away from Hosu, and the agency was immediately recognizable by its insane size — as well as the flaming "E" on the front entrance.
"I know. It's a little much." Todoroki grumbled. "That's my father for you."
"Hey, if I had the money, I'd do it too."
Once inside, we took an elevator all the way up to Endeavor's office. It was huge, dark, and had a chandelier hanging from the ceiling. The flame hero was standing behind the desk at the front of the room, watching as we approached.
"I've been waiting for you Shoto. You're finally ready to walk down the path of the mighty."
"I have no intention of following any path you've created. Only I can decide my future." He sneered.
"And Y/N. I wish to make the most of the time we have together to help you grow your power."
I said nothing.
"You two should go get ready. We're going out."
"Where to?"
"It's time I show you what it really means to be a hero."
---------------
By the time we arrived in Hosu, evening was upon the city.
Endeavor checked into a luxury hotel and bought Todoroki and I our own rooms, each fit with a queen-sized bed.
