A/N
We're back!
It's been forever omg. My sincerest apologies with tears. And possibly a ukelele if you guys need more.
The first order of business is to address the horrendous chapters that have come before this.
They were ROUGH.
I've been editing and re-uploading all the chapters, so they should be much better now. I just finished all of them right before I published this one. I didn't change anything crazy with the plot or anything like that, but they are much better now.
The only chapter I would recommend re-reading is chapter 28, because the Y/N and Todoroki interaction is SO much better now.
That's all! Thank you guys for your patience, and I hope you guys are ready — I have a lot planned for this story :)
Your POV
I ran forward, following the backs of my classmates. The thudding of 100 other people's feet matched mine as we all dashed forward into the fray.
"Come on, come on, come on, let's do this!" Yoarashi yelled as he propelled himself into the air.
As per usual, Iida and Deku were leading our class as we headed toward demolished buildings.
"Let's start by heading to the closest urban area. We'll work as a team as much as possible." Iida said.
"Right!"
Unsurprisingly, Kacchan broke away from us. However, both Kiri and Denki ran after him.
For some reason they've really taken a liking to him.
"You're going on your own again?" Mina shouted after him, but he ignored her.
"Ugh! Why are you damn extras always following me?" He growled angrily.
"We just wanna!" They both replied in a singsong voice.
"Right, so uh...try to get this over quickly for me, yeah?" Mera yawned over the intercom.
Someone get this poor man a shot of espresso.
"Even though this is just a test, it feels pretty real." Tsu said.
"Stay alert! Be careful of falling debris and explosions!" Ojiro cautioned.
Deku came to an abrupt stop, and I nearly crashed into him — both of us skidding on the dirt.
"What's wrong, Midoriya?" Iida asked.
I then heard it. The cry of what sounded like a child.
"I hear someone!" He exclaimed, staring at a particular place in the rubble next to us.
We all quickly ran to the place the cries were coming from.
"Help me please!"
"There he is!" Deku said.
A small boy with headphones and a blue cap was bleeding and crying on the ground.
"My grandpa! He's been crushed, I think he's hurt!" He sobbed.
"Oh no! This looks bad! Where is he?" Deku asked frantically as we approached the boy.
"This looks bad? THAT'S POINTS OFF YOUR SCORE!" The boy yelled, his whole demeanor changing abruptly.
Deku took a step back, and he seemed rather scared.
"The first thing you should do is see how bad my injuries are, and if I can walk! I'm breathing kind of weird too, aren't I? And didn't you even notice I'm bleeding from the head?
