Your POV
I shook myself out of his grip, raising my eyebrows. I was too stunned to speak for a second, as I matched his intense stare.
Out of everyone here, I would think he would be the last one to ask me.
"I thought you despised me or something."
"I've never despised you. Plus, it's not about that anyway. Your Quirk is formidable. With you, and two others I have in mind on my team, we can win for sure."
I'm not sure how good of a teammate he is. However, he's talented, and his ice is good for stopping other teams in order for us to take their headbands.
"Alright...fine. Who else do you want to team up with?"
"Yaoyorozu and Iida."
"I'll go get Momo, and you can get Iida."
I made my way through the crowd towards a familiar voluminous ponytail. But as I did, a small crowd of people flocked to me, begging to join my group. I politely declined, before calling out to Momo.
"Momo! Do you want to join a group with me and Todoroki?"
She nodded without hesitation.
"I was hoping you would ask."
"Perfect."
The two of us met back up with Todoroki and Iida, who he had successfully recruited. It turned out Deku had asked Iida to join his group, but Iida had declined. Kirishima had also asked Todoroki to team up, to which he said no.
"AFTER 15 MINUTES TO PICK TEAMMATES AND DEVISE STRATEGY, TWELVE CALVARY TEAMS ARE PREPARED TO GO HEAD TO HEAD! COME ON! EVERYONE GET YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR! LET ME HEAR YOU SCREAAAMMMMM!"
"Alright you guys. Listen up." Todoroki said. "Obviously, all the teams are going to be going for Midoriya. I think we should stay back for the first half of the game, and just avoid people. After that, we'll go for the higher team point headbands — this way we can stay out of the way of the brawl for Midoriya, and pick off the other teams."
I crossed my arms.
"But isn't that slightly unpredictable? There's more room for things to go wrong if we do it like that."
Todoroki lowered his eyebrows. "What do you mean?"
"We know the teams are essentially all going for Deku and his team. I agree with staying away from people for the first part of the game, because our team's point value is already decently high. We're not in any rush to get points.
But after the halfway mark, it might be wise to go after whoever has the ten million. We don't know how the point distribution of the other teams will be, so getting the smaller point headbands doesn't guarantee a win. However, whoever gets the ten million wins by default. I think our team is strong enough to shoot for the top — don't you think?"
Todoroki blinked. He seemed to be pondering what I said.
"Yes...I suppose that is the better strategy," he conceded.
He looked around at all of us.
"I chose the three of you because I believe we'll make the most stable formation possible. L/N's our left wing. She can use her Quirk to keep enemies at bay. Yaoyorozu is our right wing. Focus on insulation and defense. Iida, you'll take the front. We'll rely on you for mobility and physical defense."
"And you'll be attacking and creating diversions of ice and fire, is that correct?" Iida asked.
"Not quite. When I'm in battle, I never use my left side," He grumbled.
