I glanced over at the file on my neediest client and paced the floor of my private office deep in thought.
" Sara! You excited?" Steph exclaimed as she broke into my thoughts
" Excited? for what? To have you out of the country tomorrow? " I joked
" ha, no" she said in a monotone "while my trip to Brazil is exhilarating, I meant your anniversary?" She added with a mocking tone
I froze.
" Shoot! That's tomorrow!" I ranted
" YOU FORGOT???"
" I've just been so busy with work and looking after the kids and keeping our marriage healthy and doing my share of keeping the house clean it completely slipped my mind"
I banged my head against my desk , How could I forget something so important as the day that I married the love of my life?
" Hey, hey, Sara, It's okay, don't blame yourself. Everything will be fine, I reminded you and now you can get everything ready and go on a date with your wonderful husband; because if there is one thing I will not let you do, is turn down the opportunity to go out with Sodapop freaking Curtis, especially now that you have him for life" She soothed as she rubbed my back,
" But what about the kids? I haven't gotten a babysitter and it's going to be hard to find one in such short notice and all the gang is busy." I sighed and hung my head
" hey, you'll figure it out, you always do, Sar"
" Thanks Steph, You always know what to say" I thanked her and placed my hand on top of hers and she squeezed it.

After work I called up my dearest friends, the only ones that can help me in the deepest of situations- Giuliana and Tabbi. Fortunately, They weren't busy and more than glad to look after the kids the following day. I felt like a huge weight has been taken off my shoulders and thrilled to spend some time alone with the love of my life for the fist time since Charlotte was born.

I woke up earlier than normal for a Saturday morning naturally, I figured I could use the extra time to make breakfast. Charlotte woke up soon after and being the curious little 6-year-old she is, wanted to help me make pancakes and Oliver didn't want to be left out on the fun so he came along with his big sister as fast as his 4-year-old legs would take him. Luckily, 6 month old Bailey woke up a few minutes after the batter was done, she has never woken up crying ( knock on wood), she normally just lays there or begins laughing or babbling.
The kids followed me to say good morning to their little sister. I picked her up, changed her, washed my hands and set her up in her high chair in the kitchen as we finished making breakfast.

Sodapop stumbled to the kitchen and was greeted by the older children hugging him, " Hey! How you doing kiddos?" He smiled as he picked both of them up, I scooped up and cradled Bailey. My adoring husband walked over to me and I wrapped my unoccupied arm around his torso and resting me hand on his shoulder, hooking his arm with mine. " Good morning, my love" he breathed before he connected his lips with mine. " EWWWW!!!" Oliver gagged, " Oh I'm sorry, little man, does me kissing my wife gross you out?"  Soda rejoined mockingly.
" Disgwusting" our son muttered, we all just chuckled at his sentiment as he took the two kids on his shoulders and spun them around the living room, giving me just enough time to plate breakfast. I walked into the living room to call my family for breakfast, finding my husband holding a squirming Oliver in a gentle headlock as Charlotte tried to pull Soda off of her brother. " Okay munckins, come on, let's go eat!" I laughed. Soda tried to get up from the floor but Charlotte tackled him again, causing him to stumble, Soda grined ag her and said " oh, you are so on after breakfast, stinker!" As he grabbed her in one arm and Oliver in another and ran to the dining table as they giggled and set them down on their chairs. I set Bailey in her high chair that was to the left of my chair as Soda sat on my right, he leaned over to me and pressed a kiss to my cheek. "Okay," he said, " who's turn is it to say grace?"
