What good are mittens
to a kitten or a cat?
It's awfully hard
to eat pie, or climb trees,
or catch mice
with mittens on.
In fact, I can't recall
the last time I saw a cat
wearing a pair,
if I ever saw anything
like that at all,
now that I think about it.
Without mittens
you would never
have to be concerned
about getting them dirty
and then clean again.
So perhaps,
it might be best for
all the kittens who
have misplaced theirs
to not fret or cry,
or worry too much,
or run and hide,
as things are much easier
for kittens and cats to accomplish
without having to worry
about mittens on their paws.
