When I went to sleep last night
the ground outside was bare
there was nothing on the ground at all
and nothing in the air
but when I woke this morning
imagine the surprise
of snowflakes falling all around
and filling up the sky
I might not have been excited
to miss out on all the fun
of snow men and forts and sledding
snowball fights I could have won
but when we checked school closings
we found my school was one.
