I remember the time an eyelash got in my eye at my grandmother's house and how much it hurt and how I cried and fell asleep on her green sofa with the funny feet and when I woke up it was gone.
I remember half watching cartoons on the couch as I dozed when I stayed home sick from school.
I remember my dad buying me a toy on the day he had to come pick me up from school when I was sick to my stomach.
I remember when I was at the Youth Group car wash and got a sunburn and my shoulders were covered in huge blisters for my sixth grade graduation.
I remember wanting KFC on the way home from school one night. It must have been all that pressure to stop being vegetarian.
I remember in fourth grade hearing my jean skirt rip at play practice when I was told to get down on one knee.
I remember giggling with my friends at the sleepover where the whole school slept in sleeping bags in the school gymnasium one night.
I remember the smell of the new pavement in spring and how I'd always find monarch caterpillars walking around barefoot with tar on the bottom of my feet in those weeks when they were paving.
I remember picking out my first kitten, a small, soft, white one from the SPCA.
I remember singing with my friend at the Girl Scout campfire for the younger girls.
