I wish I were a basketball
spinning in your hand
if you bounce me on the ground
I don't know where I'll land.Like a giant tangerine
with dimples on my face
the pebbles for you to hold me
that keep me in your space. You told me we could travel
running down the court
just make sure you dribble
is something I'd retort. You stop at the three point line
and throw me away to score
now I'm not sure I want to be
a basketball any more.
